Rebekah,

Last week your advocacy for Pastor Saeed got results.

In Geneva, the U.N. Human Rights Council heard a direct appeal for Pastor Saeed from the European Union.

In Washington, D.C., a House of Representatives Human Rights Commission heard directly from me, from ACLJ Executive Director Jordan Sekulow, and – through her tears – from Pastor Saeed's wife, Naghmeh.

After the meeting, Jordan, Naghmeh and I met directly with high-level State Department officials, and they pledged to take action.

As busy as we were nationally and internationally on behalf of Pastor Saeed, we also filed new briefs against the HHS abortion pill mandate, fought hard to halt aid to Muslim Brotherhood Egypt, and defended the right of Christian student groups to meet on campus.

And that was just the past seven days.

During this intense time, a group of donors has stepped up and pledged to match, dollar-for-dollar, every gift to the ACLJ up to $1 million. Your gifts will be doubled. Consider giving to the ACLJ today.

Rebekah,

Now is the time to redouble our efforts for Pastor Saeed, a U.S. citizen imprisoned in Iran for his Christian faith.

On Friday morning, I’m going to testify before a House of Representatives panel on behalf of Pastor Saeed and on behalf of other persecuted Christians in Muslim lands.

This is a crucial moment and our best chance yet to spur the United States government into action.

Here’s where you can help.

We need to send a message.  We need 500,000 signatures to help Save Saeed by the time I testify.  If you have not signed the petition, please do so now.

Sign the petition to Save Saeed.

If you have signed, we are starting a new campaign called “Reach 3.”

It’s simple: Think of three people who care about religious freedom, who care about the persecuted Church.  Simply tell them about Pastor Saeed.  Tell them about his unwavering courage and faith.  Send them to SaveSaeed.org.
Reach three to save one life.

With the Sequester, the Obama Administration is taking $27 million from the 9/11 Victim's Fund even while it gives Muslim Brotherhood-led Egypt a cash infusion of $250 million.

In other words, the American victims of terrorism are making financial sacrifices while the ideological fathers of modern jihad are getting an economic stimulus – at U.S. taxpayer expense.

It's hard to imagine a more foolish and hurtful use of taxpayer money.

Our government must wake up. Make your voice heard. We know our budget must be cut, but before the victims of terrorism make sacrifices – before our military makes sacrifices – the Muslim Brotherhood must be cut off.

Jihadists should get nothing from American taxpayers.

Egypt's Christians are begging our government not to support their oppressors. We must stand with them. We must stand with our own families.

Sign the Petition to Sequester the Muslim Brotherhood.

Why is that people do not respect their elders and others like they used too? Its so disgraceful. I raise my children to be loving and caring. They can still protect themselves, but they also are not bullies. Jesus Christ cared for me and my children and I want them to care about others.

Rebekah,

Today marks the 160th day of Pastor Saeed's captivity. We are fighting back.

His wife, Naghmeh, has written a powerful and emotional post describing the pain and grace she has experienced throughout Saeed's captivity. She wrote:

"It has been 9 months since Saeed kissed the little foreheads of our children as he said his goodbyes early in the morning of June 22, 2012. Nine months since Daddy sung to them and tucked them into bed, and 9 months since I embraced my husband as we said our goodbyes . . . . While Saeed doesn't have a voice to sing to his children, we each have a voice for his freedom; we can make a difference."

And now your voice is being heard. As you read this email, our legal team is on its way to Geneva as the U.N. Human Rights Council convenes.

Now is the time to redouble our efforts. If you have not done so already, sign the petition for Saeed's freedom. If you have signed it, share the petition to #SaveSaeed.

During this crucial week, we must take a stand.

Jordan Sekulow
 ACLJ Executive Director

P.S. As we deploy our resources to save Saeed, generous donors have pledged to match any gift you give. Consider donating today.

Huge Potential for Gospel Advancement in Guinea-Conakry

Locked in the bondage of Islam and idol worship, the spiritually impoverished people of Guinea-Conakry are beginning to awaken to the hope found in Christ. When three students attended a gospel conference held by a Christian Aid-supported ministry in neighboring Senegal, they brought this hope back to their people with astounding results.

The battle for religious freedom rages here at home and across the world.

We just filed our 16th amicus brief defending religious liberty against President Obama's abortion-pill mandate, and we're still fighting our five direct challenges to the unconstitutional mandate.

Our legal team is preparing to engage at the United Nations to fight for the freedom of Pastor Saeed from the radical Islamic Republic of Iran, as the Human Rights Council meets in Geneva in just a matter of days.

In addition, behind the headlines and outside the media glare, the ACLJ continues to quietly respond to hundreds of requests for legal assistance.

We are fully engaged in public and private, at home and abroad, to protect liberty and life.

This critical work is only possible with your continued support.

Please make a tax-deductible donation toward our work today.

« on: February 25, 2013, 12:15:44 pm »Message ID: 693417

What started as a legal effort to free an American pastor from one of Iran's most deadly prisons has turned into an international movement.

On Saturday morning, our petition to free Pastor Saeed Abedini – a U.S. citizen – hit 300,000 signatures, and more are adding their names each day.

At the March 5 U.N. meetings in Geneva, Switzerland, our legal team will be empowered with hundreds of thousands signatures, but we must be relentless in our support for Pastor Saeed. He is still in chains for the Gospel.

Last week we learned that Iran is trying to force him to deny Christ, but he is courageously resisting and has vowed to never yield.

Pastor Saeed has not forgotten his Savior. We must not forget Pastor Saeed. If you have not yet joined the global movement to Save Saeed, now is the time.

Sign the Petition to Save an American Pastor from Iranian Prison, and pray for him.

As a Christian we are to give the gospel and inform people that yes we are sinners. God gave us free choice. He also provided as sacrifice through His only begotten Son the Lord Jesus Christ. I have talks with a lot of different people. As a Native American I realise that a lot of Caucasion peoplpe seem to think Native Americans are above them, but they are not. Its so silly that people judge so quickly on skin tone. God sees the heart.

I use my spare change to get coffee when I am doing my night time college classes. I am narcoletic so it helps keep me awake. My first degree was in Medical Records through a home university so I could do it during the day when my children are asleep. Now I am doing Medical Asisting so I do night classes because there are less distractions and I am trying to get a daytime job. Wow, I got off topic lol. Anywho change equals coffee lol.
