Yes and I have been told I am good at it. I sang in a Barbershop Quartet for over 15 years and do solos in church every few months. I will be doing one this Easter in a special pogram. My biggest singing thrill was to sing the National Anthem for 10,000 people in the Veterans Memorial Coliseum.

Yes, I love to sing and have sung in numerous choirs, but I don't have the voice that I wish I had.  My daughter makes her living as a singer.  Oldbuddy, I surely wish you would post a video somewhere of your Easter solo.  Also, I love Barbershop Quartets.  There's just nothing like good harmony!
You like good harmony? The King Singers will blow you away how magical their vocal arrangements are.Ck em out via YouTube.

The Association from the 60s were also very underrated how complex their vocal arrangments were.

That is the one talent I wish I had
You may doubt what I say, but with professional training almost anyone can learn to sing.
I guess it depends on what level you might be referring to.I am a musician.I have an excellent ear and can arrange.I have sung with other musicians and have seen they struggle sometimes to stay on key.

Then you have people like John Philips <Mamas & Papas> and Brian Wilson who were considered geniuses with no training.

Its like some have a way with cars or sports. They have the God given talent and maybe refine it more or take more instruction to be better.

Debate & Discuss / Re: How ignorant was General MacArthur
« on: April 13, 2019, 09:54:54 am »Message ID: 1270749
I finally saw the movie and at the same time I was reading a book about the the war with Japan. MacArthur lived among the Filipino people for years. He had a pretty fancy apartment there and when the Japanese bombed his city, he wasn't happy to have lost his home. He was forced to leave but promised to be back. He was somewhat of an egotistical man, thinking he knew best how to end the war and when it would end. He believed the Japanese were ready to surrender and end the war before the first atomic bomb hit Hiroshima. His wife and son was  living him most of the war.He also ran for president one time but lost to Eisenhower. He was insulted and thought it should have been him. He often "bucked" the brass and did exactly what he wanted and was almost court martialed.
Thank you for your comments Sfree.

Christmas is the celebration of Christ's birth. Easter celebrates His Resurrection. I've never heard the reverse.

And of course I'll be celebrating it. The holiest day of the year!

Right on, JediJohnie. He is risen!
Hopefully so has the dough Paints has been using for her bread baking too.

Trump has got great approval ratings, regardless how the Left & media routinely abuse him. Bring on the 2nd term.

Trump 2020
Im sure Satan approves very much of him......1 John 5:19 19We know that we are children of God, and that the whole world is under the control of the evil one.

James 4:4 4You adulterous people, don't you know that friendship with the world means enmity against God? Therefore, anyone who chooses to be a friend of the world becomes an enemy of God.

DUH...i think you will find these scriptures even in YOUR bible.

John 18:36...New International Version
Jesus said, "My kingdom is not of this world. If it were, my servants would fight to prevent my arrest by the Jewish leaders. But now my kingdom is from another place."

But i dont think you have Jesus approval and dont think Trump has found fountain of youth yet.

do you honestly believe that all those women were molested? come on now, a man who spent his life getting an education,a phd, to just throw it all away on stuff like that? puleeze. besides, no offense but did you see that first woman? even if he did do it, and im still not saying he did, he would have picked a better looking woman than that.

“Who is wise and understanding among you? Let him show out of his fine conduct his works with a mildness that belongs to wisdom.”—JAS. 3:13.

That was fine conduct when he admitted he drugged a woman?I guess his prior education didnt come into play there more then his *orniness.

Debate & Discuss / Re: Coincidence or answered prayer?
« on: April 11, 2019, 04:52:09 pm »Message ID: 1270481
While a "spirited" debate between Hitch and Johnnie can always make for interesting reading, I'm going to return to the OP. Even with something as mundane as bread pans, yes I believe God answers prayers. There is no such thing as a coincidence with God. I have a blog devoted to that idea called No Coincidences with God.

If you are at all interested in a read - google "No Coincidences with God" and "Lucas-web" -- and you can find it somewhere in the top results.
Hello UGP...yes the bible says God answers prayers that are said in accordance to his will.It also says that the wicked that say prayers ,their prayer is detestable to him.

Time and unforseen occurrence befall us all.I guess that scripture could also mean a coinsidence may happen.

There is a saying many say 'everything happens for a reason".So are we to think God planned A&E to sin? Then why did he bother to warn them of consequence and they would die"Yes God <Jehovah>can foretell the future if he decides to.But he can also decide NOT to know it either. We have freedom of choice to decide it for ourselves.Yes whatever God purposes will happen. His name means "he causes to become".

His original purpose when creating man was for him to live forever under his rule.We know a monkey wrentch was throw into it by Satan and A&E.But immediately he told the serpent that seeed would bruise him in the head <death dealing blow>while he only bruised the seed <Jesus>in the heal.

In the case of the bread pan i am not sure Paints recognizes Jehovah as TRUE God.Now there may be many out there that out of ignorance wanna serve God and NOT know his name.I think in her case that isnt the case as in Jedi.He claims JWs tamper with bible.Well then i guess they tamper with KJV cos Psalms 83:18 clearly tells us who God is and that is one of the more distinguished bibles.

I dont try to convince the many here i know dont support JWs .I hope newbies and others will see the evidence presented by JW.org.

2 doctrines cant be right.Either trinity exists or not.Either hell exists or not.Either man has an immortal soul or not.JW.org presents using the bible the truth.Your heart discerns whether it is or not.

I think again in the case of the bread pan it was unforseen occurrence that some view as coinsidence,

Looks like this blew up on you Buddy.....Trump got crushed more then either Democrat.I dont support politicians. But as far as i am concerned the 2nd George Bush <on 911 watch>was without a doubt a weasel, cheat and the worst president HANDS down!!

Discuss religeon?Well to those that believe Jesus existed and support bible he always discussed the truth and scolded those that lied or didnt support what he said.

I guess it depends if you are for his kingdom <government>or Satans. You cant serve 2 masters.

“No one can slave for two masters . . . You cannot slave for God and for Riches.”—MATT. 6:24.

Chocolate bunnies.....rabbits......Spring outfits.........eggs.............

Jesus resurrection???

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm!!!!

Ya know what this reminds me of?When UR trying to qualify for a survey and they wanna make sure you are reading the questions.EX-what is similar to a lemon? The multiple choices are car, desk, broom, lime. The obvious answer is lime.

The only difference here in the Easter case is NONE of  the choices make sense comparing them to Jesus resurrection.

Lets do another......

Santa Claus,Mistle-toe,Reindeers,Xmas trees

Jesus birth?

Hmmmmmmmmmm

Now if u said pagan celebrations you would get an A+

Lets do another.....saints or idols prayed to....

St John Bosco,Virgin Mary,Our Lady of Guadalupe <saw something like this advertised on Facebook>

And if u said......John 14:6 English Standard Version (ESV)
6 Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

You would get another A+

OH BTW...i always wondered if St John Bosco was the god of chocolate milk?
