Cashrose, first you need to know which zone of the country you live in.  For instance I live in zone 4 which is Minnesota.  You can do a google search about that and any kind of flower or plant you are interested in.  If you don't know which ones you are interested in, there are many different gardening websites online that have plenty of useful information.  One that I like is Better Homes and Gardens bhg.com, they have lots of infor and pictures and you can figure out which zone you live in to as they have a map available.  Hope that helps.  Oh yeah, I Love Gardening!!

Love this thread!! I have always, since I was a little girl, loved sky watching.  Here in the north we can see the Northern Lights from time to time and they are just stunningly, breathtaking.  Love it.Thanks for starting this thread!!

We live in a small town, so I don't think there are any homeless, but we do give.  The boy scouts and the post office and a couple of other groups do food drives throughout the year, and we put food, canned mostly and cereals, non perishable items in a bag on the front  step and they come by and pick it up.

So funny I saw this post, because today I got an email from the Democratic Party stating: BREAKING from Paul Ryan: “New House Republican budget includes Obamacare Repeal”

This guy is an idiot in my opinion and yes I believe in universal healthcare.

I don't believe it's this administration's fault.  I think it is Big Oil.  Those guys are making billions, there is plenty of oil, so I don't know why the prices keep going up.  It seems when things do go up,  like groceries for example, and then if the price of gas happens to go down, everything else stays the same price.  Doesn't make a hell of lot of sense.

Love iced tea, but also like peppermint, chamomile, and I also like a type of "coffee" called Teechino, it's a blend of fruits, nuts, cocoa, and other things and is wonderful with a little vanilla almond milk.
