Off-Topic / What would you do?
« on: October 29, 2013, 01:21:39 pm »Message ID: 810958
I kind of have this situation.  Just wondered how others would handle this.  Two nights ago I was at work and an older much older than me man cornered me where no one else was around and while licking his lips told me he had "bought some new toys and I want you to come play with me".  I have talked to this person a ton of times and he has always been nice.  I thought he was a good Christian man.  He goes to church and has always seemed nice.  Even when I knew him before I started working where I am now.  I did tell a low on the totem pole supervisor in another department (that I have been friends with for several years but made her promise not to say anything).  I don't want to get him fired (and if management knew he said it he would be gone).  I don't want to be a trouble maker but don't think I should have to put up with stuff like this.  There have been other little things but it seems to be getting progressively worse.  Idk.  Any thoughts?  Suggestions?

Off-Topic / Asking for money
« on: October 18, 2013, 06:49:45 am »Message ID: 807283
I recently started working at Walmart.  There are people standing outside the entrance doors the majority of the days of the week asking for money.  They don't just stand there and let you come to them.  They will verbally ask you to make a donation.  It really bugs me.  I do not even make enough to pay my house payment (and I have no other source of money) so I cannot make a donation to every person standing out there asking for a hand out.  It is every weekend and lately it has been thru the week too.  The ones that bug me the most are the ball teams.  The kids will jump in front of you and ask you for money.  I say buy you own friggin uniform.  Their parents need to pay for their extra activities.  Not me.  The other day a church from a neighboring state (yes from a different state) was standing at our Walmart asking for money.  Most times the people act like you are horrible if you do not give them money.   I am seriously thinking the next time I will respond by saying "yeah I will make a donation if YOU will make a donation toward my next house payment".  Grrr.

Off-Topic / Should idiots be allowed in public?
« on: October 02, 2013, 05:46:06 am »Message ID: 801076
I guess my subject sounds harsh. lol.  I was at work last night and this guy came in and was rambling his stupidity.  I am still mad this morning.  I didn't say anything last night but something along the line of that is an interesting concept.

He says that the Pentagon was NOT hit by a plane.  It was bombed by the US government.  He says that 747s carrying passengers did NOT fly into the twin towers.  HE SAYS the US government bombed the twin towers and flew cargo jets into the towers ""just to see what would happen IF an attack like that were really carried out"".

I am trying to forget the conversation because it makes me more and more mad every time I think about it.  HOW can anybody be that stupid?  A LOT of innocent people died and it irritates me that somebody can be so stupid as to say stuff like what he did.   :BangHead:

Off-Topic / I desperately need ya'lls help
« on: August 29, 2013, 10:20:14 am »Message ID: 786491
If anybody can help me or shed some light on this question I would greatly appreciate it.  Okay here is the deal...3 weeks ago I was hired for a company.  I signed the offer of employment.  Was told my pay wage and sent for a drug screen.  Although these usually take 3 days supposedly mine took almost 16 days.  Anyway, I went in and caught the HR person out on the floor (so she had to talk to me lol) and was told 'oh there is a hiring freeze so we can't bring you in until it is lifted'.  That doesn't make sense.  I am already hired.  I passed the drug trest and that is all we were waiting on.  I don't see how the hiring freeze could effect me.  Just the tons of people they are still interviewing.  I guess they can do this.  They can do whatever they want.  I just don't see how it is legal or right.  I was already hired just never got to actually start working.  And now they are saying 'just keep waiting'  I tried to ask when she thought I would get to work but she was kind of hateful and said she didn't know.  Smh.   :dontknow:

Off-Topic / Tool Bar Question
« on: August 25, 2013, 01:59:16 pm »Message ID: 785101
I just downloaded the tool bar.  I can't seem to get it to refresh to show my current balance.  Can somebody help me know how to do that?  I have clicked on the area that says Balance: $7 Million  (lol. Yeah I am dreaming) but anyway nothing changes.  It should be about 8 cents more than it is showing according to my balance on my account page.

Off-Topic / Surveys GRRR
« on: August 22, 2013, 07:07:29 am »Message ID: 783751
First I will say this was NOT thru FC but I need to vent.  I just spent 20 minutes doing a stupid survey, was told I would be trying out a product that they would send to me, and went as far as putting in my name and address....it says it is verifying my address...then it says oh sorry our client has determined you do not qualify for this survey.  HOW CAN THAT BE POSSIBLE?  I had already answered all the questions and grrr.  That just makes me mad.   :BangHead:

Anybody else ever have something like this happen?

Off-Topic / Surveyes are NOT annonymous
« on: August 21, 2013, 04:54:53 am »Message ID: 783234
The surveys we take where our responses are suppose to me anonymous are NOT.  I have had TWO different times when I took a supposed anonymous survey (one thru this site) that something came back to me later because of the way I answered a certain question or answered the survey in general.

I am just saying they DO know who you are.  I had one a while back that asked specific questions like 'do you own any guns' and 'how many guns to you currently have in your house' and several other questions like that.  And NO I didn't answer them. lol.

Has anyone else ever had that happen?  Not the gun thing, but received an email or something that was directly related to a survey that was suppose to be anonymous.

Off-Topic / I am so depressed
« on: July 30, 2013, 01:14:36 pm »Message ID: 772730
I lost my job at the first of the month and so far the company I was working for are doing a good job and blocking my drawing unemployment.  I have been looking for a job but there just isn't anything anywhere.  I am a member of several sites like this one but if I make 30 cents a day I am doing good.  And since this isn't the 1930's that's not cutting it.  I am fixing to get behind.  I don't know what to do.  And there is no one to borrow money from.  First, you have to pay it back and if I ever find a job I will most likely need all I make to pay my bills so I wouldn't have extra to pay to someone else.  And second, most everyone I know is also struggling.  *sigh*   :dontknow:

Off-Topic / How would you respond to this
« on: July 23, 2013, 05:39:36 am »Message ID: 769437
Okay, so this irritates me to NO end!  The other day I was babysitting my niece and nephew at their house.
My SIL's brother called (I didn't know who he was when he called) and I answered the phone

"Hello"

And he said "Hello"

I again said "Hello"

And he says "Hello"

It took all the restraint I had not to say "Do you freakin want something or did you just call to irritate me!"

I have had people call my house and do the same thing.  Why do people do that?  YOU called me so state your business.  I cannot stand when people just sit and say hello trying to be funny.  I also thought about just hanging up.  In the meantime my SIL's mother had come home and it was her son who was doing it.  If she had not been there I probably would have just hung up.  But she was standing there so I just said "hold on" and gave her the phone.

GRRRRR!

Offers / Kicked out of survey
« on: September 04, 2012, 12:18:27 pm »Message ID: 599459
If this is the wrong board I apologize.  But the survey box is under offers on my page.   :P

I have tried for several days to do a survey that credits I think 90 cents to my account and can be done daily.  I am thinking there is something up with the survey.  I answer the questions about kids and being available to do the survey.  It askes if my 14 year old daughter is available to do a survey.  I say yes and it asks for her to take over.  She does.  Then it asks if she is pregnant and about how many kids SHE has and when she says no it usually kicks us out.  Anybody else every had this happen?  Also I am curious as to WHY a survey would ask a 14 year old if they were pregnant to begin with?  Or what the point is in having her come to the computer if she isn't going to be able to do a survey.  SMH.    :dontknow:
