Off-Topic / Job Interview
« on: August 12, 2013, 06:11:09 am »Message ID: 779497
I have a job interview in 50 minutes.  I am SO excited.  I have been out of work for a long time and really hoping I get this.  So if any praying folks wanna say a quick prayer or anybody wanna cross your fingers for me...I'd appreciate it!

It is when you do the survey and give all your opinions then the last couple of questions you answer something wrong and they kick you out saying you do not qualify so you get a penny. :(

True.  I do that too.  And I have noticed that people are nice to each other and seem to care when somebody has a problem and they post it or if they are sad or upset people on here are uplifting and encouraging.  I like that.  It is like you are talking to friends. And a lot of times peeps on here are nicer than your friends in your personal life. lol

Hmmm.  My posts may be nonsense but I am not trying to just get posts in. lol.  Sometimes I am bored and just want somebody to talk to.

And I think if you make more than one post in a row on a certain thread it may not count toward the 30.  Someone had asked about that before.  But I am not sure.

Off-Topic / Re: Is there ever any good news?

Everyday i hear horror stories on the news.. I'm thinking to myself
IS THERE EVER ANY GOOD NEWS?
So around the globe i ask you this question
Was any of your news good today?
I took one look at my news..
not pretty at all
not even the weather
:BangHead:

Remember that old song some woman sang 'sure could use a little good news today'.  There are good things that happen but they don't usually make the news.  Sad huh.

So, What do you all think of our government? Are they doing there best or could they do better or should they just put on the old game show weakest link so you can hear that lady say goodbye to them all & just plain replaced(Your The Weakest Link Goodbye)?

Personally, I think a small army of genetically altered super smart chimpanzee's could do a better job. Can't go anywhere but up at this but point but that's my opinion

lol.  If I answered this question honestly...my comments would be deleted.  :angry7:

I agree.  But they are hard to find and seems like even with them you have to give up an awful lot of personal information.

« on: August 11, 2013, 04:36:14 am »Message ID: 779027
This happened last night and I was ticked!  I had completed the survey.  We were done to just a few questions for classification purposes.  Then it asked for the company name of where I worked and MY first and last name and assured me it wouldn't be shared.  I also had the option to check a box that said 'do not want to share' and when I checked that box and clicked 'next' it kicked me out and said 'oh sorry but you do not qualify'.  THAT was NOT fair! :BangHead:

How do you get to do more than 9 in a day?  It always stops me after 9.

Off-Topic / Re: What do you grow in your yard?
« on: August 08, 2013, 09:28:15 am »Message ID: 777795
In our garden we have a lemon tree, a lime tree, four avacado tress, a plum tree, a guava tree, and other fruit trees.  Also, we have oregano, mint, aloe plants, cactus, and other spice plants.

Oh yeah, I grew about 4 types of mint this year.  I have it drying in the basement.  Not sure what to do with it.
Any suggestions?  I am not sure how to make tea out of dried mint leaves.  I have citrus mint, chocolate mint, a spearmint, peppermint, and something else but don't remember what.

Scrambled, poached, boiled, sunny-side up, or just over easy?

How do you like your eggs done?

My back is hurting REALLY bad right now.  I would settle for any way but poached right now - if somebody else would cook them for me.  Unfortunately, I am not having much success at getting the cat to agree.  Btw, I don't know what poached means. lol
