I love to read a good book, but I also love watching a really good movie.  ;D

However, in my opinion, there aren't too many good movies anymore.  ::)

It's quite fun watching a movie that is made from a novel you enjoyed reading :star:, or watching a movie that has one of your favorite actors/actresses in it.

Off-Topic / Re: Anyone know someone who beat cancer naturally without surgery or chemo?
« on: September 22, 2013, 10:42:50 am »Message ID: 796503
My mother had breast cancer for which she had a mastectomy and radiation therapy. She also had cervical cancer for which she had a radium implant. She then heard about Laetrile which is a natural cure for cancer. You could not get in the United States. People had to go to Mexico to get it. But we found out that the ingredient in Laetrile that supposedly kills the cancer cells is cyanide.

Since apricot seeds have that ingredient, we set off in quest of apricot seeds which my mother took for a long time. They were quite hard to come by; a downright adventure in futility sometimes trying to find them. Then she found out that cashew nuts have that same healing property, and she started eating them every day. My mom was an advocate of natural healing, and I think it worked to stave off her cancer for a long while.

She finally died of congestive heart failure over twenty years later, and she evidently had a touch of cancer in her lungs that we were not aware of. I advised a friend of mine who was diagnosed with colon cancer at the age of 91 to eat cashews. He lived another year with no symptoms of his cancer. I don't believe he was ever in pain from it.

So I believe in eating cashews. I eat them as a preventative. I also firmly believe in a positive attitude about beating it since it is possible. The human body is capable of staving off almost any disease if it is not compromised in other ways such as obesity, high blood pressure, depression, etc. Prayer also helps.

It can't hurt, but it could be a lifesaver. I think it's worth doing. I wish more doctors would learn how to prevent disease instead of just curing it after it happens.

VP44 how do you get the letters in your posts to be so big and to sparkle like that?

:dontknow:

Hey, braggin. It looks to me like she went to ZingerBug.com to get those effects. That's what's at the bottom of her forum post.

Why don't you try that?

Does anybody know what the third word of the third sentence of the second paragraph at
http://www.prweb.com/releases/Toussie/200acres/prweb10744830.htm
is? It is the first question of a "Find the search engine ranking for three keywords" that
has gotten me completely frustrated. The keyword is "isaac toussie cushman wakefield".

If I remember correctly, THEY messed up.  Try the THIRD WORD of the FOURTH SENTENCE in the second paragraph.

Well, thank you very much rwhite17 and BlackSheepNY:notworthy: I KNEW there was something wrong with that task.  :bs:

I talked to someone at Crowd Flower today on the phone about that problem today.  Then I emailed him the exact name of the task. He said he'd look into it.  ::)

But I tried what you said, 'inventory' and that worked. So then I could complete the rest of the task and heave a sigh of relief. Thanks again for sharing. ;D

linderlizzie, it makes me happy to know that there are other people who get driven nuts by some of these task questions too!  That's cool how you get the fish to scroll across the bottom of your reply. How did you do that?

Thanks! I like him too. I just picked out the little blue fish from the icons when I preview my message.

Then I highlight him and pick out the marquee feature to move him across.  ;)

Off-Topic / Re: how do you like your coffee?
« on: September 20, 2013, 08:51:37 pm »Message ID: 796112
In the pot, that's funny.  I have been a serious coffee drinker since my mid teens (its a family thing).  I have mine black most often (who needs the extra calories?) but occasionally I will add a shot of vanilla extract or almond extract to the ground before I brew it.  That adds just a hint of special flavor and can really help out cheap coffee when the budget says I can only buy the economy brands.

Adding the extract sounds good. I'll try it.

I like my coffee with creamer and sugar, not black. I can't deal with black or espresso, for sure. :angry7:

Hot coffee is great for warming up your body when you're cold. Plus you can warm your hands on the cup as you're drinking.

I've heard of it but never tried it. Are you enjoying it? I think I might enjoy it.

I've also heard that it is a good thing to have on your resume.

« on: September 19, 2013, 05:12:21 pm »Message ID: 795818
I used to have candles like that, but I just burn them now. It doesn't make much sense to have candles that you never burn.  :dontknow:

Are they really that special? That seems a little like saving your good china and silverware for special occasions only. Nothing wrong with that, but it just seems like you should use things for which they were intended.

On the other hand, candles are much more dangerous than people give them credit for. I've known of many instances where people have left a candle unattended for a short time and had a fire in their home. So maybe you're on the right track not burning them.

I hope you enjoy them always.

Off-Topic / Re: Can you sing?
« on: September 17, 2013, 09:36:37 am »Message ID: 794969
Everyone can sing. It's just a matter of whether or not they try and how bad they think they sound. I have sung in church choir and in Sweet Adelines. For those who do not know, Sweet Adelines are lady barbershop quartets. They sing in big groups usually, but each part is sung separately (lead, tenor, baritone, and bass].

Tenor is the highest voice. I was a tenor. Sweet Adelines have chapters all over the country. Our local chapter is closed now and I miss it. It is a lot of fun to hear all that harmony. ;D

I sing really well in the shower, of course. If you don't think you can sing well, try singing in the shower.

The acoustics make you sound awesome.  8)

Off-Topic / Re: How many GPT sites do you use ?
« on: September 15, 2013, 03:07:56 pm »Message ID: 794317
I sign up for almost every survey site I see. There are some that pay really well so I keep doing them.

If they continue to disappoint, then I drop them. If they don't pay up consistently or give me plenty to do, they can be discarded with no regrets.

So far, Fusion Cash is one of the top five survey sites that I do.

You can get ideas from the forum here. People usually share their moneymaking ideas.

Oh, and check out oldbuddy's ideas for referrals. There seems to be good money there.

Fusion Cash website worked okay for me today, but Radio Loyalty keeps going offline and leaving me with a blank screen.

Not sure what that's all about. Too bad for me since I leave it running while I do all sorts of other things.  :(

Oh, well, tomorrow is another day.
