I read something in my book and thought about you.  It says to always add the yeast last and to not let the yeast come in to contact with any liquid. I did not know that.  The pretzel recipe I found on Pinterest said to mix the yeast with the water.  My bread book that I got with this machine says do not ever do that and it will mess up the consistency of the bread.  It says dig a small hole in the flour and put the yeast there.

I always add my yeast to warmed sugar water.

Id think the water way makes the yeast start faster. And therefor it would be a quick cooking bread.

So breads you bake longer you just add dry yeast,  so it wont rise as fast and be denser

Im only guessing here, those who bake bread would probably know.

Let us know what you decide to make, and how it turned out :)

I made chicken and dumplings once and my pappaw was not easy to please. He said it tasted almost as good as what his momma made.  Mammaw told me you have no idea how big of a compliment that is.

Awe thats something to treasure :)

LOL About leaving a step out. Yeah maybe they do LOL!

I know I have a couple recipes I just wont share with others

Oh and I have made sourdough bread before, with a starter I made. I cant recall how it turned out tho. but I know not everyone likes the taste of sourdough bread. That sounds so good right now! I like it when making a grilled/toasted sandwich. I wonder what it would taste like as a pizza crust

Im sure they would be alot healthier without the sugar, honey, and butter :)

But I do the same, but I put butter, brown sugar and pecans in mine. And usually just eat the canned ones

I do love to read, but sometimes just cant get into it. I need a complete quite place, no tv, people talking, radio playing etc. So only read before bed.

I can go months of not reading, or months of nonstop reading
