is going to put our old cat tree outside our front window for the squirrels to run around on.  I feed and watch them.  They're more fun than the birds.

I love Snickers.  I like any with chocolate or chocolate and caramel.  I'm currently trying Cinnabon.  It's not bad.

My college-age daughter started throwing up last night and hasn't quit yet.  I, who stay at home about 90% of the time right now, immediately think "stomach flu".  Dh, who works at the jail, immediately thinks "COVID".  That never occurred to me.   :P

Off-Topic / Any of you drink milk other than cow's milk?
« on: February 15, 2021, 09:00:45 am »Message ID: 1350941
I have a sensitivity to cow's milk.  It's not bad and doesn't always happen, but I allows feel bloated.  I'm considering trying an alternative--soy, almond, oat, etc.  Have you tried other types?  Which ones do you like?  Any specific brand?

I take it with as much caffeine as I can get.  I drink 2 cups in the morning, and it wakes me up and keeps me going.

Off-Topic / Bread Pudding Recipe
« on: February 11, 2021, 11:20:10 am »Message ID: 1350652
Now, bread pudding always looked icky to me.  But, I had some hotdog buns we weren't going to be able to use, so I decided what the heck.  I used this recipe with the inclusion of an apple.  I actually thought it was pretty good!  The squirrels will be getting less bread from us.

6 slices stale bread buns, rolls, donuts, challah, toast or another type of bread
3 Tablespoons of butter 1 Tbsp + 2 Tbsp
4 Beaten Eggs
2 cups Milk
3/4 cup white sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Preheat oven to 350 degrees, and use 1 Tablespoon of butter to coat the inside of your 8 in. square baking dish.  Break your bread (I made larger pieces, rather than crumbling it up) in to the buttered baking dish.  Melt your remaining 2 tablespoons of butter, and drizzle over bread pieces.  In a bowl, mix remaining ingredients (don’t forget to beat your eggs first) until mixed well.  Pour this mixture over the bread, making sure to evenly coat each piece.  Bake for 45 minutes, or until the top of the bread pudding springs back after lightly touching it with a fork.

Off-Topic / How many pets?
« on: September 26, 2019, 05:50:01 pm »Message ID: 1294372
How many pets are too many pets inside?  We always have people tell us we have too many.  We used to have 6 cats and a dog.  After my son moved out with the dog and his cat, we got 2 kittens.  So now we have 7 cats.  Our house is large with 3 finished levels.  Each cat has its own particular personality, and we love every one of them.  I wouldn't get any more, though.
