Off-Topic / Re: Favorite Time Of Day
« on: February 27, 2015, 04:29:55 pm »Message ID: 962821
My favorite time of the day is late evening. It seems things begin to wind down, and I adjust myself to finish up my home biz activities and relax while watching a good movie or game shows.

My wife and I really enjoy working with kids. We put time in at elementary schools. We get to sit in the classrooms and observe and sometime interact with the kids. I really enjoy eating lunch with them.

My wife is one of the greatest cooks. She whipped up some baked sweet potatoes and bakes turkey wings. It was yummy delicious.

Off-Topic / Re: What do you drink in the morning?

In the morning I prefer to drink a bottle of water ot water with lemon juice in it. This helps my bowels to move and seems to help keep me regular for the rest of the day.

Off-Topic / Re: Are you on a diet to lose weight?

I'm not on a diet to lose weight. I weigh about 170 lbs., thats about right for a 5 feet 11 in. male. My weight is pretty steady. I can eat whatever I want, and I just don't gain.

I'ma a veteran and I think God for the privilege to have served my country. I do not drink, but I think if we ask young men and women (18 - 19 year olds) to put their lives on the line (enemy fire in Irag, etc.), they should certainly be able to drink a beer if they wish.

Today, 2/27/15, was a great sunny day with temps in the low 50's. I don't complain about that because, a few days ago we were down in the teens during the day.

Off-Topic / Re: Would you buy jewelry off of craigslist?

Personally, I don't use craigslist that much. But, I've seen all kinds of things there. If you're selling jewelry, I think it would help to have pictures.

Seafood is just right for me any time and any day. Tilipia & Flounder are my best treats. I do enjoy shrimp and grits. I don't eat much lobster.

We're planning to go to the Holy Land Experience in Orlando, Florida. This should be a great trip, especially since we don't have to drive. We're riding on a charter bus.

This Valentine's Day, my wife and I plan to have a quiet day enjoying each other. She is absolutely not going to cook any meals! We decided we won't go out, but I'll pick up our dinner, and just enjoy the day with each other at home.

Off-Topic / Re: Do you play an instrument? and what kind
« on: February 12, 2015, 06:15:01 pm »Message ID: 959117
I play the piano and organ. I started when I was 14 years old. My Mom bought me a very small portable wind organ. That was my start. I kept with it until I was able to play full-sized instruments. I taught myself how to read music well enough to play for church services.

Off-Topic / Re: How many languages do you speak?

I speak English, however, I do speak a little Spanish. When I was working for the Navy, I was sent overseas to Rota, Spain. I spent about 4 months there. I taught myself enough Spanish to converse with the residents there.

Off-Topic / Re: If you won the lottery, would you move from your current neighborhood?
« on: February 12, 2015, 06:10:24 pm »Message ID: 959115
If I won the lottery I would not move away immediately. I really like my subdivision; great neighbors. I would completely renovate my home, and probably add on an additional room.

Off-Topic / Re: Why do most Wal-Mart employees act so rude?

My experiences at Walmart have been pretty positive to date. However, I think in every place of business like that, with so many employees, sooner or later, you're bound to run into one that has personal issues, and no people skills.
