anyone with kiddos?  toddlers?
How is the best way to potty train a 2 year old boy ? He tries but i think he just likes washing his hands!  he will use the toilet but he's very inconsistent.

i don't know about boys but with my four girls i bought them real panties and they trained faster. the pull ups feel just like diapers so they use them to go but with the panties it is a little messy at times but if you have the patience and the time then that is what i suggest. just make sure that you take him to the potty at least 15 to 20 minutes after he eats or drinks and if he does not go then you will have to take hime every 5 to 10 minutes to ensure that he does not have an accident. One of my girl who is now five and has not had one accident learned in 1 day she did not like the feeling of using the bathroom on herself, but as for our youngest who is three it took about 3 good weeks and i still have to get up in the night around three and take her potty because she wears panties at night also. to me it worked great. just a suggestion though don't do anything that you are not comfortable with. Good Luck and congradulations this is a big step for kids and parents no more diapers Yeah!!!!

Wait for the right moment

Let him watch and learn

Buy the right equipment

Help your child get comfortable with the potty

Buy him some cool pants

Set up a training schedule

Teach him to sit first, then stand

Set aside some naked time

Celebrate his successes

If at first he doesn't succeed, try, try again
