Please explain this portion of your rules for that section:

It is not a forum for you to spam your link to your store, candle selling site, or any other site that you can make money off of others. If it is a video on YouTube, or a news story you wish to share with us, by all means share your link. If it is your own personal webpage with NO REFERRAL LINKS on the site, then please share it.

The last line, especially. My forum is only a discussion board, my "own personal webpage" that I created myself, yet I'm restricted from inviting people to it? Why, exactly?

Because you weren't sharing your site, you were sharing your email address; we have no way to verify if you're really doing what you say you're doing, or whether or not there are referral links on your site, etc.  In the future please use the support ticket system when you have a question for the staff here.
