I'm pretty sure most of us saw this video.  I shared this one on my Facebook page because I find it interesting!  Someone plans to drive across the country for three months on a garden mower that goes about 9 miles per hour.  What's your take on this?  This should be interesting and I wonder what would be the outcome?  I guess I'll bookmark this so I can follow this story from time to time.

I would like to know the purpose of this cross-country venture on a lawn mower. What effect is it going to have on anyone besides gaining publicity? We have public officials discussing the possibility of eliminating the 12th grade in many schools because the drop out rate is too high, and this guy has that much time on his hands that he can afford to ride across the country on a lawnmower? Truly, what has this world come to?

That's a bit of an overreaction, but this does seem very pointless.  Is it even for a good cause (charity or something)?

Maybe, its me!  But I don't really understand why this would be pointless!  I mean, how much gas does a garden mower really use!  I don't know what this have to do with 12th grade being eliminated from high school.  The man just decided to travel across country--what's the big deal!  There are too many things negative things going on in this country that we do not always need to look at the down side to everything.  Sometimes, we need to lighten up.  After all, he's not using any of our monies.  We've just earn two cents off his you-tube video.  Maybe he's relying on earning from his you-tube video.  Maybe he's retired and wants to do something different in his life.  Maybe he has been planning to do this for a long time and decided to try it out just because he simply wants to try it out and write a book about his experience or document this journey.  So, I don't understand what the big deal is?
