I still have some old VHS videos that I need to transfer to DVD's, but the dvd recorder is expensive, what other options do I have?

You could take it to a company that does digital imaging...but maybe more expensive than buying a dvd recorder. Maybe you could borrow from a friend?  Rent one? Tried looking on ebay?

I used to have VHS tapes around.  But since I am in the process of moving I decided to part with all the VHS Tapes.  I did keep some blanks, but all the movies or tv shows in VHS I gave away to disabled veterans.

I bought a dvd recorder at Best Buy the other year for 125.00. As long as you already have a vcr it should not cost you anymore than that.

I have the same issue going on but I haven't put too much thought into yet and I haven't priced the piece of equipment needed to transfer it to dvd.  Depending on how many you want to transfer I would think you could take them somewhere to have them converted over.

you can download a digital copy of your movies and if you get any problems you can always prove that you own a legal copy of the movie.

walmart in NC does the digital imaging but not sure how much they charge.  I think its a couple dollars per video

i just donated all our old vhs tapes to goodwill then this week my spouse brought in 2 new blank vcr tapes and told me my inlaws was giving an old machine. What happened to downsizing?

You can by little convertors that hook up to your VCR with RCA cables.
