buying scissors

I bought some scissors recently and the *bleep* that was holding it together in the middle broke off.
They were poorly made, I'd say.
I didn't buy the Office Depot brand. I wanted to try a different brand.
I'll go back to buy the Office Depot brand and stick with it.

Although this is true, isn't it too bad that people get away with selling things that don't work, or don't do what they are advertised to do?  No pride in work anymore.  Oh!  I sound so old, don't I?  lol
