I think I saw that Palmer won't be starting this week. It will be interesting to see if the backup does well enough for the Raiders to not even need Palmer.

Thanks for mentioning this! I wasn't sure, since the coach said one thing and the offensive coordinator said another. Did they say who would be the backup?

I play fantasy football on CBSSports, and their analysis of Palmer said: "NFL Network reported Friday afternoon that Kyle Boller will start for the Raiders in Week 7 against the Chiefs, not newly acquired Carson Palmer... There still seems to be some conflicting reports on Palmers' status for Sunday, but the latest news appears to have Boller getting the nod. However, there is some speculation that the Raiders could turn to Palmer at some point in the game, if only to get his feet wet and run a few plays that he's comfortable with. But that's no guarantee."

They obviously know you just can't throw a new guy in to lead the team. He needs a few more practices and time to learn the team/plays.

Either way their odds are not that good for tomorrow.
