Just saw the new Nintendo Device!!

  I absolutely LOVE the new Nintendo device that is coming out in March 2017!! I told my dad I wanted it and could wait for a Christmas/Birthday present till then! LOL! He asked me how many hundreds of dollars it would cost. I said it probably will run around $400 maybe $500.
We were talking, and he said if this works the way it's supposed to, Microsoft and Sony are going to have to up their game!! He said everyone has been saying Nintendo was on it's way out, which is also what I have seen! Now, I don't think they are. They usually make sure their devices and games WORK, without patches and whatnot, BEFORE they release it.
So I am excited to get into gaming with this device!! I haven't had a new one since I got my DS a few years ago!!

It's called Nintendo Switch! I heard about Nintendo doing this about 2 or 3 years ago. It was just a concept rumor floating around at the time. I really love it!! My dad is hoping the portable part of it does more than just play the game. He said it would be cool if it acted like a tablet!

I just finished watching a Youtube video about it...I'm not a huge gamer, so I'm not that excited....It's innovative (not really though. It's basically a tablet) but a tad bit ridiculous...Is it really that serious to people that they have to take console games on the road and to social events? People are already obsessed with their Iphones, now this. More distractions.

I'm not a "console" gamer, I prefer handheld gaming with my Nintendo 3DS. I've always preferred Nintendo to Sega and later to Playstation/XBox. What can I say, I grew up with Mario, Link, Donkey Kong and Kirby!

The Nintendo device I'm jazzed about is the one loaded with all the old games, I forget the name at the moment.

I don't know if I would get this.  I WILL be getting the old school Nintendo unit though!

My husband told me about it. I am pretty excited about it because of all the pre loaded classic games.

I wish I could be as excited about the new system as you, but after the disappointment with the Wii U, it's hard for me to trust Nintendo. I always grew up with Nintendo, and loved their systems all the way through to the original Wii. But then I bought the Wii U and found it to be clunky and less innovative than its counterparts. Right now, I'm playing on a PS4, and unless Nintendo can really wow me with this new system, that's how it's going to stay.

It looks promising. I'm willing to see how it works. Besides it's the only place I can get both my Mario and Zelda fix.

What issues have you had with the Wii U?  We had a regular Wii and upgraded a few years ago to a WiiU and have enjoyed it immensely.  My daughter and I love playing the various Lego games together on our WiiU.  So I just wondered...

It looks okay not found of it and sorta stupid in away itself in my opinion though.
