Pistachios are not cheap so I don't get to eat them very often. But when I do, I enjoy them very much except for having to shell them first. Hot fudge sundaes with pistachio ice cream are wonderful too.

I'm not a big fan, but my dad is.  He keeps asking me where he can buy pistachio ice cream.

Love, love, love pistachios!!    Many years ago you couldn't get pistachios already shelled and most times they were red, that ugly red dye, your fingers would turn red trying to shell them.   My brother loved them as much as I did so for his birthday one year (we were both in high school) I bought over a pound of pistachios and shelled them all for him for his birthday.   He was so happy with that years gift.

I've only recently been eating the nuts because nuts are supposed to be good for you and I'm trying to eat healthier.  I was never a nut eater before but I'm starting to eat more and I like them.

I used to eat a lot when I was in Italy... here not so much.... but I love them...
you can get lazy of taking them out of the shell... but if you can, always buy the ones with shell and not the already opened ones... the taste changes completely!

I never did any recipes with Pistacchios... but they are excellent also in salads.... and soo healthy too!!

I love pistachio's and pistachio ice cream.

I don't think I've ever had pistachio ice cream!

I do like pistachios though.

we really like them also, and yes they are expensive. But as a treat sometimes i will order them.  they are a little cheaper but then you have to pay postage.  But our little store does not even carry them,  so i have  order them from  one of the pistachio farms here in N.m.. Really nice if we should g et to go right to the source. But those days are over.  for the most part as we don't  have any need to go in their direction any more.
