I see anything different when it comes to service that merits a tip. It honestly seems like I'm being social compelled to pay extra money to people that are simply doing their job because the job they have pays very little. I mean, I've never seen exceptional service.

I usually try to do that.  Esp now that it seems to be the norm for the delivery drivers to ask "Do you want your change"
