What was the first thing you ever said to your kids that you could not believe you said, and the thought hit you how bad you hated when your mother said that to you. (But they all make sense now, huh? or not?)  Mine was "because I'm your mother and I said so, that's why" .

There is alot of things I have said to my kids that remind me that Im just like my mom. But I have no problem with that. My mom is sweet and kinda and Godly and I wouldnt mind being just like her..

haha. then I told my kids that since I got to hear them-I am recycling them and it's their turn now.

Can't, never did anything! lol Never thought I'd tell them that but it slipped out time and again.

...Bill Crosby calls that "The Curse".  The things we think we will never say to our kids and end up sounding just like our parents.  Never laughed so hard in my life.  My stomach and sides ached for a few days after.

The curse....aaaaaaah, yes, I know....I heard that one too..."I hope one day you have kids that act just like you do"... And, yes, I loved my mother dearly, but have to admit I was a Daddy's girl.
