No you are not weird.  I have to have either the radio or TV on, even if I'm doing something.  Also when I'm in bed I can't stand dead quiet so I have a white noise machine on (drives my husband nuts, but he's getting used to it).

You are far from weird. I get it. I think most people could not stand in a room alone without any kind of interaction.

I like some kind of background noise. Goes back to living in the country, But when it comes to sleep please no noise or lights.

       You are not alone. We music lovers need to take our favorite music with us. Do not forget your iphone, ipad or any other device. you can listen to your music in planes, train and buses too!

no i hate silent rooms i feel like ill start hearing things or something and the time goes slow perfectly understandable that you would have either of those things on
