The best advice

What is the best piece of advise your mom ever gave you?  My mom has been gone 6 years this month and I am constantly thinking about how good her advice was.  She was a very kind and very savvy lady.  Miss her so much and hope I can grow up to be like her. Well, now that I am in the long end of my 50's I guess I will just have to hope some of her rubbed off on me.

One of the best was, always think twice before you say something critical or unkind.  You can think it forever and no one will know but once it is out of your mouth you can't take it back and you never know what kind of damage you may do.
