wake to music
« on: October 01, 2014, 09:10:02 am »
I use my computer as my TV, radio and information resource. I had a clock that was falling apart and not in good working condition. I decided to do some hunting for another option.
I found "free VIRTUAL alarm clock". There were other online alarm clocks, yet this one was superior. I have used it for a week now and love its versatility. I can set my own music to wake up to. It "talks" to you and tells you what time it is when it goes off. You can put a specific message in if you want.

The only problem with online alarms vs a traditional alarm clock is if the power goes out, you probably won't have a battery backup... It'd wouldn't be so bad if this was on a phone, but since you're talking about your computer, most home users don't purchase a battery backup.

I think this is a great idea, much more pleasant than waking up to a traditional alarm. But I agree that you might run into trouble if the power goes out. Investing in a battery backup may be a good idea, or setting a second alarm on your phone may be a second option.

I use the buzzing alarm on my iphone, but I wake up before the alarm - thank goodness because the sound is jarring.

I have an ihome alarm clock with a gradual alarm with  the radio, but I never use it anymore.
