Fibromyalgia
« on: November 20, 2018, 03:01:17 pm »
Does anybody have fibromyalgia? I suspect my mom does, but she wouldn't take the drugs for it so she doesn't bother getting diagnosed. With the side effects I hear listed in those commercials I can't say I blame her.

I would be grateful if anyone had a suggestion for any product, home technique, etc that might help her feel better.

Google natural treatments for that disease. No matter how I spell it I get an error saying it is wrong. lol

ALL the drugs for anything have the same side effects.

I have fibromyalgia. I use to take pills which I had bad side effects from. Now all I use is Salonpas patches for pain and my heating pad.

I have Fibromyalgia and I take medication, use salonpas, bengay, bio freeze, ice treatments, heat treatments and rest. I also read a lot of books about it. The books give a lot of suggestions as well.

A few years ago, my youngest daughter got really sick, and after thousands of tests and ten doctors plus the $$, they could not find the source of the pain.  It was determine that her pain and suffering is stress and that she has Fibromyalgia, but because she is so young they would not give her the 100% diagnosis, they just told her that she will suffer from it when she is an adult, so no medication for it.  She just knows that her body shuts down when she stresses and has learned how to deal with it.  Hopefully she will not need to take medication, secondary effects are the worse.

I don't have fibromyalgia but I do at times experience severe back pain and intermittent migraines.  There are certain states where you can obtain an all natural pain reliever called CBD. It's not psychoactive, like some would have you believe. I discovered it when my mom had cancer and she couldn't take conventional pain medication because it not only made her feel sicker but made her very disoriented. So, wanting to make her as comfortable as possible, I researched and found that CBD was what many of the other cancer patients were using to fight pain. I was worried that it might make her loopy so I purchased it as a topical cream. I have to say that it was one of the only things that provided her pain relief and allowed her to be able to enjoy her awake time and rest at night.

After she passed away I remembered how well it worked for her and I got a doctor to approve it for my pain. It is unbelievable to me how well it works. Now, I'm only talking about CBD. I use it as a topical and as an oral tincture. I wasn't interested in the other effects that many others look for so I can't speak to how well THC works. But CBD is a blessing. It can, for me, knock a migraine flat in less that 15 minutes. Oral tinctures work faster than topicals but they both work for me.

I know some have a negative opinion of CBD and THC. I did too. But now I swear by CBD for pain relief. Anyway, I just wanted to share in case it would help you and your mom.

The formal doctor I had thought I might have fibromyalgia.  I've had so many tests.  This new doctor thinks I have neuropathy.  They also told je I had poor circulation.  Don't know.  I have restless leg syndrome.  I use turmeric, Vitamin d, magnesium, calcium, and also topical ointments for pain.
