This might come off as a bit of a conspiracy theory, but I sometime's wonder if there's isn't someone higher up inciting the riots on looting to put us all against each other, and miss the big picture of what these protests are supposed to be about.

And even if that's not the case, we should always remember, this country started with rioting and looting against the British. Now I'm not saying the looting of private businesses and homes, but when people feel oppressed they tend to lash out in drastic ways, but let's not let us forget why this is happening and that some kind of change needs to come from this. Our government can't keep trying to distract us so they can get away with whatever they want.

I agree, there are those who are protecting in a peaceful manner for a purpose and then there are those who are taking advantage of the situation to loot.

I agree; the looting and destroying of businesses is not right, however, I understand the frustration and the desperation to be heard/seen.  But you're right, it is not right, nor do I personally believe this is the correct exercise of power and rights.

That is correct, if there are to be protests they should be non violent and definitely should not destroy communities and people's businesses.

I totally agree with you debidoo. Looting doesn't honor George Floyd's memory. It's just a selfish and greedy act.

First we are in the middle of a pandemic, then we have peaceful protests which is fine. but as for looters, more like losers, I hope the ones that got caught looting get prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law :)

This situation with protests and George Floyd is craziness.  These people who are looting and destroying property in his name is not right on any level.  I say they could care less about George Floyd.  They are using him as an excuse to do wrong.  It was not right how he died but yep two wrongs don't come out as a right.

Of course not, but the looters are not a part of the protests.
Opinion: 1) a view, judgment, or appraisal formed in the mind about a particular matter 2) belief stronger than impression and less strong than positive knowledge
This is the internet, learn to let people have opinions. And don't be so sensitive.  8)

I've been thinking outside the box about a lot of things lately, even the virus.
