I keep my home temp at 68 at all times.  Electricity is very expensive.  Not enough finances.

I keep my house at 69 degrees during the winter. I like it like that, and I save a few bucks every month too. If I get cold I throw on a sweater. I have also winterized my house too so that I don't waste any energy, and that equals more savings every month.  :)

Whew I'd burn up at 80! I keep it around 69 - 72 depending on how cold it is. I usually leave it lower at night since I can't sleep well when it's too hot.

I keep my house 63 during the day and 60 at night.  If I'm going to be gone for a while, I may put it down to 55.  I suppose I should also mention that I live in Minnesota  :)

I like it to be 75 during the day and 70 at night. Although, my husband seems to think that winter cold is different then what it feels like with the a/c during the summer so he is convinced that the thermostat needs to be set at 80. He is insane and I sneak over to the thermostat every chance I get to turn it back down again.

It is nice to see someone else who also keeps it cooler, as my thermostat is set with about the same temperatures.   I live in PA and it does get cold, but I am sure it is colder in Minnesota.  You can really save a lot of money and use the cash for something else that is fun or important if your turn down the heat.  It is just a matter of getting used to the cooler temp.  You just need to put on a few more layers.  In the evening I use an electric throw to keep warm.  An electric blanket goes a long way too for sleeping.  So many times when I am in other peoples homes and it is 70 or so degrees in the winter, I actually get stuffy and sweaty, as it is too hot, even with just one layer.

BTW, I am a person who does not like the cold, and I still manage.  I am not going to sit there and shiver, but I  would rather work around the cold this way, instead of just turning up the heat.  I would rather not be 100% comfortable all of the time to save hundreds and hundreds of dollars each winter.  It really is a good way to keep your bills down!

I turn it down to 58 before bed and then up to 66 in the morning to warm up house. We use a Moniter heater and it heats to 4 degrees higher than setting. So 66 brings it up to 70. Monitor heaters are the MOST fuel efficient heater there is.

live in FL - stat set to 80 degrees all year round - even in winter when it is 40 degrees or lower outside - a/c works in reverse to keep temp 80 degrees - and the dehumidifier is on 24/7 all year - IMHO >> In My Humble Opinion - The MUSEUM, Zazzle, deviantART, ArtFire, FineArtAmerica
