I use a fake one, but I love real trees, especially the ones that you can replant.  I just don't do the real trees because they are messy and I don't want to worry about it drying out and catching fire.

I have a real tree evert year. It is part of the experience to go out and find the "perfect" tree..plus it smells so good.

Fake....  It's convenient, and I don't have to go thru getting a new one and disposing of it evey year.  Plus, growing up both my mom and sister had allergies so I just got used to having a fake one.

Fake....I can't stand real plants or whatever in the house. Fake trees are clean and hassle free.

We've now been in our home for five years worth of Christmas and all but the first year we have used an artificial tree.  We both love the real deal, however, the truth is, you can't really enjoy the tree as long as you can a fake one.  Our fake one went up the Saturday after Thanksgiving, and will stay up until New Year's weekend.  If we put up a real tree that early, there'd be needles starting to fall all over the place by probably next weekend.

I really like the real trees but I don't have room for one so we use a small fake tree.

I like the smell of the real tree, but with a 20 month old and a new born on the way, fake is the best for us safety wise for us.

I like real ones better but the fake ones shed less.

Definately a real one.  They are amazingly inexpensive here.  In Denver a nice tree was close to $100 but here a very nice tree goes for around 25.

I like the fake trees. Easy to set up and less clean up.

I have a real tree. It gets picked up for composting after Christmas, so I feel a little less guilty than I would otherwise.
