I really enjoy reading books when I get interested in them.  Usually if I find a book that I like, I will read through the whole thing in a day or two.  The latest has been the entire Harry Potter series.  Once I started reading them I just kept reading them for like 10 hours straight.  It is hard for me to start reading a book, but once I do I finish it quickly.

I am an avid reader, too.  I don't know if it's a generational thing or not -- love of books, I mean.  I'm 50 and my husband is 63 and we both love to read.  I think one of the best pleasures in life is the feel of a hardcover book in my hands (okay -- quite your sniggering out there!).  We raised our son in a home where we were always reading and I read to him like crazy when he was a child.  Now, he's 21 and would rather play video games or watch movies before he would ever crack a book.  Drives me crazy!  I think it's a generational issue due to the way kids are taught in school today.  But, I'm sure there must be some young folk out there who still love books in their young adult lives.  NOTE:  I would love to have a big house with a huge private library to go to and curl up with a good book.  :)

Well I'm 27 and my dad also is an avid reader (although my mom doesn't read books)...I became this way because when I was between 7 and 12 years old, my dad made me read a novel or book of my choice for 1 hour every day after school, then he would skim thru the part I read and ask me a few questions to make sure I honestly did it...I despised this at first, and eventually realized how much I loved reading!

I read everything.  I'm a sucker for historical romances, I love anything history related..just recently finished the whatifs of American history.
I am not into sci-fi but will occasionally suck up a fantasy.

Lately, I'll start a book but never finish. Now I am on my third unfinished book in 6 months. Ten years ago, I would a book a month with no problem. I think with the internet, my mode of learning has changed from discovery to search and scan. The sad part of this is, a lot of kids are not learning the answers. They are just instead knowing where to get it.

I love to read as well, but I don't get a whole lot of time to do it. I feel like most of the books I read are quite long and you definitely wouldn't be able to read them in a day or two! I really like the classics, I can't stand stuff like Twilight.

I love to read. I like mostly bio stuff though true events that actually happened. I like to read about struggles people have and overcome. Im also a huge fan of anything in Oprah's book club. A really good friend got me into reading a book called Stick Figure, true diary of an 11 year old girl struggling with an eating disorder, I found the book sad but fascinating at the same time, due to the fact that I do have two little girls and this could happen at any moment to any child it just struck me hard. I would recommend that book to anyone else raising girls. Its sad the effects the world, media have on children that young and younger.

I read as much as I possibly can! I mainly read African American authors though. But I also like Nora Roberts. Very good!

It seems like reading an actual book is becoming a lost art

I try to read a little bit everyday

Whether a magazine or Novel

Just got thru reading Lonesome Dove

Again

Lost count how many times I've read this Novel

Does anyone else RE-Read books?

I love to read also. I'm waiting for my library to get a copy of Stephen King's Under The Dome back in. Has anyone read it yet?
