How do you organize home and work

I have found loads of ways to work from home and make family life easy.  First off when i work from home I make sure that my phones are on silent and I am fully dressed.  I dedicate my time as if I am working a regular job.  I am lucky that now my children are grown but there are little furbabies to worry about making noise.  I have my desk in an enclosed room that I shut the door and put a towel at the base to block any sound that might come thru.  I disconnect the door bell since I put in a wireless.  This also helps.  I place a note on the front door and inform them I work from my home office.  I have left a little notepad and pencil attached for them to leave a message.  My children who are married with young kids know not to call me during work hours.
