I know we will go sometime soon. We still have to get our fishing licenses. My kids are excited to go!

We have been catching nice Bluefish and Striped Bass.  A friend of ours caught a 42" Striped Bass last week.  My husband and I are waiting to catch ours.  The weather is still cool enough in New York so it is a good chance we still might castch a big one!!! :fish:

This is my daughter last year, caught right off our dock.  She comes on from school does her homework and heads for the dock in search of a bigger one!

'Ol Buddy, Are salmon easy to filet, and how do you do it. Also, what is your opinion on how to catch trout in a lake?

I live in Northwest Florida on the Gulf of Mexico, but I haven't gone fishing in a while. Hope and pray that the oil slick does not devastate our tourist and seafood economies!

They are very easy to filet, but I never do. It always leaves a certain amount of meat on the bones that gets wasted. I usually cut steaks until they get too small, the leave the rest as a roast. The big bones are easy to pick out unlike many other fish.

Here's another one!

Up here in New York we are catching a few Striped Bass here and there. I personally haven't caught one. Still waiting. We are all catching some nice size Blue Fish, skates, sea robins, and spider crabs. I want Bass!
