finally a forum I can honestly relate to, despertly seeking employment . single mom of 3 , in process of divorce, my goal is to be self sufficient. Also want to start own business but  have no clue as to how to begin this.  I have searches intrnet hard to figure out what will work and what is a scam . definitly open to suggetions.

it helps if you can narrow down what you can do, what you want to do, what finances you want to create and what your financial status is now...and then start researching what other people in that field are doing to make themselves valuable employees or business owners.  discover how you can kick up that up a notch, get an outstanding resume written or business plan developed...and move forward from there.  it's incredibly hard to sift through information if you aren't sure what it is you want in a job or in your own business.  it's work, no matter how you look at it.  good thoughts

Keep trying and find good network! I have tried to find a translating job for 2 months on line and eventually I got the job through my family member.   Networking is always the good way for job hunting

Networking is very important! Also, when you apply, don't do the waiting game. Make sure you call three to four days after you submit the application. Don't wait for them to call you; call them and ask if they received your application to make sure they know that you are genuinely interested in getting the job. That gives you an extra edge over the countless others that didn't bother to call

Look outside of the internet as well.  What skills, hobbies, interests do you have? Like dogs?  Start a dog walking service or pet sit.  Mow lawns, clean houses, put fliers up in the neighborhood for whatever service you can offer, house painting, yard work, cake decorating.

Why don't you try and get a job coach maybe if you have some kind of program like ccm- county care management.  I know I tried going through them and they take u out and help u in turning in applications.
