It should absolutely be reversed. That umpire knew the pitcher had a perfect game going, you don't just forget that...

I think the call should be reversed, but then again we don't always get what we want in life. I think the pitcher was a good sport about it all.

No.  If you reverse it, you set a precedent, one which could just completely open up Pandora's Box.  As horrible as the call was, it needs to stand, based on the current system.  If you reverse this call, then you better set up a committee to go back and look at other controversial/iffy calls over baseball's decades of history.  Then when you find them, what do you do?  Do you take away the Royals' title in 1985 and give it to the Cardinals because of a missed call in game 6 which cost the Cardinals the game when they were up 3-2 in the series?  Do you replay the wild-card tie breaker game from 2007 because Matt Holliday of the Rockies didn't touch home plate on the winning run against the Padres?  How about in 1996 when Jeffrey Maier interfered in the Yankees/Orioles playoff game?  The Yankees were losing that game in the 8th inning when it happened.  Maybe the Yankees don't go on to win that game, nor the series, nor the World Series.  You can go on and on with examples like this.

As obvious and horrible as the call was, I just can't see a justification in doing it, based on the current system.  What the umpires call on the field needs to stand, unless you can prove there is something criminal going on, in which case MLB would then have one hell of a problem on their hands.  What this does do, though, is seriously put a spotlight on the fact that MLB might need to change a little with the times and incorporate the technology available to them now.

Yes they should!!  But they will not due to it openning up to big of a can of worms.  Plus he already said he would not over turn it.  I  think this pitcher is a TRUE roll model for kids.  So far that is.
