Do you think social networks destroy relationships?
« on: September 16, 2010, 10:48:56 am »
This for me has been an on-going topic in my household and people have different views on it. For me I think it brings families closer together. On the other hand, it gives room for spouses to cheat on one another. Remember, cheating doesn't necessarily have to be physical, it can be emotional and mental as well. For example, your significant other is chatting away with someone that you don't know of on the computer. He/she treats this person with respect and kindess but then when it comes to you they start treating you differently than before. Is it because they could be falling for the person their chatting with? or Is it because you happen to catch them in a bad mood? Just interested to read what you all have to write on this. Take care and have a great afternoon.

some people are up to no-good on the sites like facebook and myspace who are in relationships but are looking to hook up with new people at the same time.

to each its own. It can destroy relationships when you get involved with the wrong person that has bad motives. Other that. I think it is a good way to socialize with family and friends.

I think that social networks do have the potential for causing havok in a relationship, but that is mainly because of the lack of commitment that people have for one another.  there are so many out there that just are not happy,  then they go looking for greener pastures  and when that doesnt pan out.....  you know the rest of the story....
