Satanists and Athiests Provoke Christians in OKC...

Atheists in OKC have put up a billboard in the city that says, "Don't believe in God? Join the club" seeking out their fellow brethrens. Do you think thats insulting or provoking Christians?

I just want to know your thoughts on this

Well, it wouldn't be any more provoking than Christian signs saying things about God. As a chrisitan, that sign would not provoke me to anger at atheists. Christians don't own the world and they can't expect to have freedom of speech and then get mad when people who believe differently use that same freedom to express something christians don't like.

The call to action is to pray for ALL people, not to get angry at a billboard.

   While everyone is given the right to freedom of speech or religion, I can't really say anything against it in that respect.  That being said, I do believe, however, that if it is definitely done to provoke anger, to intimidate, and even later, to harm or torture someone, then they have gone past the line.  I, personally, do not like it, but that is my own personal opinion. They don't bother me with my beliefs anyway.
 It seems more and more, that things like that are happening and allowed to be made publically supported, while in the meantime, God and Christianity are being forced to the background and not publically supported. God and Christianity are banned from the schools, yet allow other religions to be discussed or suggested, or even apostylized (see my thread about the kids on a field trip in Boston being taught how to pray to Allah), and that's wrong.

You're right in the regard of Christians being pushed to the back. I think some things are done by other religious or non religious groups just to provoke the Christian community. But it's playing right into their hands to go into a fit about it. Here is a good scripture about this topic:

Jude (The Message) I like to use this version sometimes because it uses modern language and phrasing. Mind you it paraphrases a great deal, so it expounds on the literal interpretation of the original Greek.
 17-19But remember, dear friends, that the apostles of our Master, Jesus Christ, told us this would happen: "In the last days there will be people who don't take these things seriously anymore. They'll treat them like a joke, and make a religion of their own whims and lusts." These are the ones who split churches, thinking only of themselves. There's nothing to them, no sign of the Spirit!

 20-21But you, dear friends, carefully build yourselves up in this most holy faith by praying in the Holy Spirit, staying right at the center of God's love, keeping your arms open and outstretched, ready for the mercy of our Master, Jesus Christ. This is the unending life, the real life!

 22-23Go easy on those who hesitate in the faith. Go after those who take the wrong way. Be tender with sinners, but not soft on sin. The sin itself stinks to high heaven.

   I absolutely agree, Sherna.  That's one thing that helps me when I start dwelling too seriously on that kind of stuff.  Thanks for reminding my "worrywart" brain!!
