PEOPLE WHO SPEAK BEFORE THEY THINK

I HAVE A LOT OF FRIENDS WHO DO THIS AND ALSO PEOPLE I DON'T KNOW WHO DO THIS THEY NEED TO STOP AND THINK ABOUT WHAT THEY ARE SAYING ESPECIALLY WHEN THEY DON'T HAVE A CLUE

And therein lies the rub.  People have become accustomed to not thinking.  They allow the outside world to think for them.  They are told what cereals to buy, what car to drive and even what they should be doing with their day if they are a house wife.  The TV and media run their lives. The old adage "thinking outside the box", should be changed to "get out of the box", free your mind, get some clarity.  There is nothing wrong with TV, but some people think that if they don't act and look like what they see on TV, then something is missing from their lives.  Take a step out side sometimes and look up at the sky.  See the beauty in the world and you will see the beauty in yourself.  You are okay just like you are.  You don't need a 52 inch TV or a new pair of UGGS.  Just you!  And that's all I got to say about that.

   You are both right about that!  I will always remember what my mom told me (and as a teacher I have told it to my students) that if you don't have something nice to say, then say nothing at all.  She used to also tell me to "think before you speak."

I just had the silliest thought.  Knowing that most people have a problem thinking for themselves, in my minds eye I could see a crowd of people trying to generate a thought process.  They are all standing around with a befuddled look on their faces.   I know, I have a warped sense of humor, but it sure looked funny to me.
