ducks
« Reply #255 on: April 29, 2011, 01:54:27 am »
That's funny about the ducks.  Who would have thought?

We have lots of rabbits so I think we're going to put our tomatoes in buckets so we can raise them up high enough to keep them safe.

I planted some impatients last week but just in pots on the deck. I'm waiting on choleas and petunias to hit the stores so I can get the window boxes planted.

I have two more tests today and two more next week then break starts.  The weather is looking pretty good for Saturday so it will be a yard work day.  Sunday I am doing a Walk for the March of Dimes and we have to go to Bob's grand-daughters dance recital at 1.  Back to the bump and grind of school for one more week then spring break!  yahoo!  I really need the break and the house needs some attention.

It's time to clean closets and get my summer clothes out of storage.  Now if I could just lose 20 - 30 pounds and look decent in a swimming suit and shorts.  Yikes.

Looks like your weekend will be busy, but productive.  I know what you mean about the weight - I need to lose 20 to 30 (or more) myself.  No one can catch me in a swimsuit though.  I'm too self-concious, but that's just me.

Tomorrow (Sat.) I have to judge choirs in a competition.  It's about 2 hours away but this time it's only for 3 hours.  Usually it's 6 to 7 hours.  These are the area winners who are now competing regional (southeast).  After that, they go to NY for nationals.  It's a Christian youth organization and I have been judging for them for about 13 years.  I really enjoy it and it keeps my feet in the music door, as well.

I'm glad you are finally going to get a spring break after next week.  You have definitely been going strong with your studies.  I'm proud of you!!!!!

Have a super weekend!

Julie  :)    :cat:

earning money
« Reply #258 on: April 30, 2011, 04:46:14 am »
Don't forget that today is the last day for the end of the month postings to the forum.  I have to make sure I got my 30 in for the month because I think I might have missed a couple of days.  Good luck.

The sun is shining bright this morning and no rain so it's a yard work day for me.

Well my 3 hour judging for the music competition ended up being 7 hours after all, lol!  The time was typed wrong on one of the first emails and I wasn't sent the corrected email, by mistake, so I didn't realize it until this morning.  I really enjoy judging but it was a long day.  I have to travel 2 hrs. both ways - gas is so ridiculously high right now - it's frustrating when I still have all my medical bills and my pay hasn't gone up but everything else is going up.  When is it going to stop???!!!!???

It was definitely a beautiful day (even though I was inside most of the day.)  When I arrived back home tonight, hubby had all the windows open - it was still cooler than it has been lately.  I love the windows being open, but can't handle the heat once it gets here.  It affects the asthma too much.

Thanks for the reminder about the posting!!!  I made it.  Hope you did this time!  Hope your yard work was productive!  Have a nice Sunday - let me know how the recital goes that you are going to.

Oh dear Julie.  That made for a long day.  You are so right about gas prices and prices in general.  It just keeps getting tougher instead of better and there are still people losing their jobs...as you are aware.

We had the one day of nice weather and we're back to rain again.  Thursday is the only day that looks decent here and my son is going to come and help me with some of the heavy lifting I need to put river rocks in for one of my gardens and the topsoil for my tomatoes.  I'm planting them in buckets because of the rabbits.  I'll put them on our deck so I can move them around if needed too.

Yes I made the forum postings for the month.  It's too bad you have to wait so long to get paid for them though.

The recital went well.  We bought her a bouquet of red carnations.  When Grandpa handed them to her she didn't want to take them at first until she saw one of the older girls with flowers then she thought it was a great idea.  We got some pictures and I'll post some to FB after he takes them off the camera.

Off to study.  Last Med Term final today.  Have a good one.

I am 35 years old, a full time homemaker, and I have 5 kids and another on the way. I also home school 3 of the my kids through a Virtual Academy, which is really a charter school. I also have been a cub scout leader for more than 5 years. I just started a blog that talks about all the different online jobs I've done in the last few months.

You can find me on Youtube!

Kim,
Hope your last mid-term final went well!  And yes, do post some pics on FB when you can!

springsgardner,
I like your user name - makes me think of the conversation we've been having in here about planting flowers and wildflowers!!!!  You sound like a very busy mom/worker, etc.  One of my 3 children did the Virtual Academy for a year when her arthritis was so bad that year.  The teachers really kept up with her - they communicated by computer and on the phone.

Curious....what sort of online jobs have you done?

Glad you stopped by to visit.  I'll be looking at your page to learn more about your jobs.  I homeschooled my son from 9th grad through graduation but truly wish I could have done it his entire life.  Good for you!  I know it's a lot of work but it will be well worth your efforts.  Good job.

I took my last mid term test yesterday and only have to go to school for a couple of hours today, Monday and Tuesday then I'm off until June 1st.  I'm hoping the weather stays nice so I can start walking and get some weight off!  I think I'm dealing with the Freshman 15.  Hope everyone is doing well!

Mother's Day

Wishing you a Happy Mother's Day too Julie (and to all who might wander into this blog).  We have more rainy weather but I'm just going to dress for the weather and try to knock out several miles a day.  I might break it up into two or three walks per day though.

Today's the first day off and my todo list is already filled.   ;D

It rained here yesterday.  Today is sunny, warm, and breezy - beautiful out!  You know, when you think about it, our todo list is pretty much filled up everyday, lol!  I've managed to get a few things done around here that I was really behind on.  I hope to get more caught up with laundry, vacuuming, and sprucing up.  Talk to you soon!  :)
