Does anyone know any good ways that someone could deal with depression. NOT getting help from a doctor because it isn't that serve. I just sudenlly start hating my life and I just want to die, then about a hour late I am happy go lucky. I don't under stand what's happenning...is this normal for teens? Does everyone go through this? Is it "I'm just having a bad day"? Or I need to tell my parents and seek help afterall? -___-
Please someones opinions?

Even just keeping a journal to release these feelings will help, when I was a teenager I dealt with depression, I had nobody to talk to, so I started writing my feelings and thoughts in a journal,(I used a notebook for this) but it did help until I was able to find somebody to talk to about all that I was going through, there were "rough" days, and sometimes just being around friends and reading the Bible also helped me. Hoping this suggestion helps you.

I'm scared to write down my feelings in case my parents happen to find them

If I tell my parents how I am feeling then there just going to call me dumb and say I'm to young to know anything about depression >.>

Or tell me theres nothing wrong with my life... and they don't live in my shoes so they wouldn't know =(

I think you need to sit down with your parents and talk with them.  If you can't communicate with your own parent(s) then you are never going to be happy.  If you have a good relationship with them then thats where you need to start.  The more you hold this in the worse it will get.  Trust me I delt with it growing up and its a quite lonely place if you don't start talking about it.    Your mind can do a job on you and if you can get these feeling out and on the surface then you will be looking at a lot of doctors and other things happening that doesn't have to.  Just tell each parent or parent that you really need to talk to them about something very important.  If you think writing it into a letter is easier then do that and have them sit together and read it then talk about it.  But don't jus sit on it like its not there.  There are to many pressures out there that can put you on a downward spiral that you will have a hard time coming back from with out the help of someone.  If you have other sibbling in the house that you don't want to know then tell your parents that you need to speak with them privately about this.  I will keep praying for you.   :angel11:

Go to the doctor.  It is severe if you do not want to live anymore.  Talk to someone and go to cousilling.  Please get help.  Your life is worth living.

Are you having problems that you don't know how to solve or is your depression happening for no apparent reason? If it's due to problems, find someone who can help you work through them. If you don't have any major problems that's causing it, I would consider finding out about medication that could help. Don't give up. You are incredibly important & worth fighting for!

The teenage years can be tough, and it’s perfectly normal to feel sad or irritable every now and then. But if these feelings don’t go away or become so intense that you can’t handle them, you may be suffering from depression. The good news is that you don’t have to feel this way. You do have some control over feeling better. Staying connected to friends and family, sharing your feelings with someone you trust, and making healthy lifestyle decisions can all have a hugely positive impact on your mood. I hope this helps.
