There is nothing like a bowl of Hot Oatmeal with Brown Sugar on it.  Nothing like a bowl of hot cereal on a cold day.

I do not eat oatmeal at all!!!    I think that maybe I ate it too much as a child so now I don't like it at all!

Now that it has gotten cold out here, I have hot oatmeal a few times a week.  I use the regular kind and put some powdered milk in with the water, sprinkle with cinnamon, heat in the microwave and then toss a small handfull of blueberries on top.  The hot oatmeal heats up the blueberries.  A good winter breakfast.  Oatmeal, cinnamon and blueberries are all supposed to be good for you.

I had hot oatmeal yesterday morning for breakfast.  It is good for your health and very feeling.  I just put sugar and butter in mine.  Hope everyone has a Merry Christmas.

I like steel cut oats they take longer to cook and have more fiber (15 mins) this kind is a treat not fast at all. I also like quick oats for a fast meal.

:cat:   I love Quaker oatmeal with raisins. I like to add sugar and extra milk to it.  On occasion I also eat the fruity and/or the raisin oatmeal in the packets.  :)

I'm starting to these days, not just because it's cold, but b/c I need to start being healthier! Good stuff, as long as some flavor is added!

 GOOD STUFF! Mmmmmm...!! Maple and Brown Sugar, gotta be the best! And it's healthy for you, for the most part. 2pkgs of Quaker Oats in the morning for breakfast usually once a week and sometimes I'll mix up a package for a warm evening snack.

NO, NO, NO, it is too snotty and slimey. BUT I LOVE oatmeal cookies, and I put raw oatmeal in my smoothies. I also use it in some other dishes.

I like hot Oatmeal - especially during the winter months.  I used to use the instant packets all the time, but now I use the quick oats and mix my own stuff in it.  My favorite concoctions are brown sugar, cinnamon and raisins; butter and honey; and cottage cheese, slivered almonds and cinnamon.

The last one (with the cottage cheese) I got from one of those fitness recipe books that came with some videos.  It sounded bad, but it turned out to be quite tasty and one of my favorite things to doctor the oatmeal with.  If you haven't heard of it, it's about 1/4 - 1/3 cup cottage cheese, 1 t. slivered almonds and cinnamon to taste - for a single serving of oatmeal.  From that, just play with the amounts to your liking.
