Been on a couple Princess cruises and absolutely loved them.  First one was a Caribbean one - great weather, plenty of excursions to choose from.  That ship featured a movie screen on deck where you could watch movies while soaking in the hot tub, or on lounge chairs under the stars like your own personal drive in.

The last cruise I took was to Alaska - absolutely stunning.  Plenty of activities from glacier hiking, to dog sleds, to zip lines, to rock climbing, whale watching and of course, shopping.  The scenery can't be beat - waking up to gorgeous mountains every day, and seeing wild Orcas was amazing!  Highly recommend cruising to AK at some point in your life.

Boats of any size and I don't mesh.  I get seasick in the bathtub (joke).  Seriously though, I went on a Halibut charter in Homer, Alaska.  We left at 6 am, and came back at 6 pm (12 hours).  I was sick the whole time!  I chummed the waters so they could catch their fish.  It was miserable.  Never again....on any boat.
I had the same experience in the Gulf of Alaska, but on a cruise ship I didn't even feel it for 3 days and did just fine. What made me decide not to go again is they rip you off if you need Internet Access and I know it's not necessary.

No it's not.  Same with some airlines too (high cost of internet fees).  It depends on the mother company.

I have never been on a cruise.  I like to get to my destination and go out and explore.... I know the ships are large but it seems to restrictive to me.  It might be fun and maybe one day I will change my mind and try one.  Everyone I know that has been loves it but it just doesn't seem like something I would enjoy.

No, but I am so ready - today in fact.  It is 23 degrees here in NW Florida, about 20 degrees lower than average.  That makes 2 winters in a row.  Anyway, cruises sound fabulous and I hear that the food is wonderful.

went on one a few years back to Bahamas and Key West.
We went in October -- very rough waters in Hurrican season but CHEAP cruise!  :)
We enjoyed it, we are not the seasick type so that helped.

We enjoyed our relaxation -- no children were with us though so not sure about what types of things for them there would have been.

We took a Carnival cruise about a dozen years ago.  It left from Miami and went to Cancun, Grand Caymen & Jamaica over a period of 7 days.  It was a wonderful time and I loved every minute of it.  We went in May and had beautiful weather through the whole trip.

We went on the exact same cruise about five years ago.  We had a great time.  In my opinion, Carnival caters to both kids and teenagers.  However, your best bet is to get on the internet and check some cruise lines to find out which one best meets your requirements.

Our college age kids love Disney and WDW, but the Disneyships seem to be geared to the young kids.  Thanks for all of your input.

My husband and I went on a cruise just a few months ago using Norwegian Cruise Lines.  The on-board entertainment was fantastic!

I have been on 2 cruises.  One in the Bahamas and one around Alaska.  We loved the Alaska Cruise and looking to book another one this summer.  They are the best.  Everything has been taken care of and you just relax.

I  have not ever been on a cruise and neither has my wife it is part of my own Bucket List, I have to influnence my wife on  the idea. When we travelled to St. Michaels, Md she discovered how much she enjoyed our boat trip  in the busy lagoon area so naturally I saw that as a good sign.  :fish:

No cruises for me...because they are very expensive. Lots of ferry trips for me because they are reasonably priced.
