Any A & W restaurants in your area?
« on: February 21, 2011, 12:04:12 pm »
We had a new one that opened a little less than two years ago.  It had a drive-thru, sit down seating inside and car hop outside.  It was within a couple of miles of my house.  I rarely do fast food, but went there a few times.  Apparently not enough people patronized it, as it closed down.  In fact, the owner of that one also owned three other ones and they also closed down.  It is a shame.

  8) No sorry to say, we do not have an A&W near us because, we live in a rural area in Colorado.

I think we still have one left in town, but it's in with a KFC.  HMMMMMM a piece of chicken and a root beer float sounds pretty good right now.    LOL

There is a A&W in a town @ 30-35 miles from where I live. It is with a Long John Silvers. I've ate there once. I liked the cold frosty mugs they give you to drink in. I don't like Long John Silvers though so, I usually eat somewhere else when we go shopping in that town.

Unfortunately there aren't any nearby.  I remember going to a couple different A&Ws when I was a kid, whenever the family was on vacation.  I'd love it if I could go to one whenever I felt like it.

I can think of at least one right now, but it's not really all that close to me. The only reason I even I know about it is because my sister used to work there. Other than that, I have no idea but I wish there was at least one close by. They may be a bit expensive-ish (last I knew) but they have some really tasty food choices. And one of my favorite root beer brands of all time. (:

:dontknow: :dontknow: Never heard of them. There possibly could be one in the Atlanta area somewhere, but not close to where I live. IF you can't eat there for $5.00 the I couldn't go anyway. Do they serve A&W Root Beer??

We used to have one that was a split store, half KFC and half AW, but it is now entirely KFC. No more A and W  :dontknow:

there's one about 20 miles from me, right off the freeway that we take to go visit my in-laws every other weekend. i used to make my husband hit the drive-thru everytime for their cheesy broccoli bites but now they stopped serving them so there's no reason for me to go back
