Do u prefer baby sleeping in crib or near you ?

I've never understood why someone wants their kids sleeping with them.  Especially as they get older.  I can't sleep with my kids in the bed.

I have always had my babies sleep in a bassinet in my room until around 6 to 8 weeks old. This makes it easier for me to get up and feed them in the night. Then, I move them to their crib in their own room. They all started sleeping through the night before they were 8 weeks old. We never let our kids in our bed at all. We have a 10, 3, and 1 year old. Also one due next week. I would say that would be the hardest thing to break. It's just so much easier if you never let them do it at all. I see parents who still have 5 and 6 year olds crawling into bed with them every night. Then, they complain that they don't get a good night's sleep. Well that is because the majority of kids kick and move around all night. I'm sticking with my plan to never let them in the bed in the first place.

With Baby #1 and #2, they were in their bedroom across the hall in their crib.  I would get up, change them and go to the living room to nurse them.

When we had Baby #3 and #4, we put a bassinet in our bedroom so when they needed fed during the night, I would just put them into bed with me while they
nursed and then return them to the bassinet.

The kids never slept with us except for those feeding times.

 our son slept in his room in his crib from day one.
he has tried a few times to sleep with us but we don't permit it often and he is not in a habit of coming in our room.
we are going to have another on this upcoming fall -- I hope to have the bassinet in our room for a little while, but we'll see and I don't think my husband will go for that

i prefer he sleeps next to me in a bassinet. he's only 2 weeks old, but once hes 3 months, he will probably be in his crib and his room is right next to mine, theres a door connecting them.

     Near me in a basket...so I do not crush my baby.

I prefer to sleep with my baby beside me. I just dont get how someone can fall asleep and roll over on their baby or something that seems so stupid to me. I don't think nobody can sleep that hard. I am a single mom though so I don't have a man to share my bed with. But I love sleeping with my baby and will probaly do so until he is like 1 years old or something and starts taking up too much space.
