SHAMROCK SHAKE.
« on: March 04, 2011, 07:04:52 pm »
i had my first shamrock shake of the year today
from mcdonald's! yeah yeah, unhealthy, blah blah.

i've been so proud of myself for sticking with my
no-fast-food rule for the past month or so and
have been feeling really good about it, but when
march starts getting close, i start thinking about
the shamrock shake like a long lost lover...

love it, hate it, ever had one?

McDonald's shakes are frozen yogurt, though... go to an ice cream parlor that uses real ice cream. Tastes better, you know?

I am not a fan of mint flavored ice cream, but i do remember
the shamrock shake. they are not available at all mcdonalds/ in each
state. I think they are pretty though!

I don't particularly like mint, green's my favorite color though. Honestly I always forget about the shamrock shake.

I am REALLY against eating or drinking anything with mass amounts of food coloring .... just for the sake of making something pretty.... like Red velvet cake .... I would just rather eat a piece of chocolate cake.  If I could avoid food coloring all together I would but I know most foods have some.

Actually, I used to work in a McDonald's and this is the first time I hear they use frozen yogurt. They use the same ice cream that they use for their hot fudge sundaes. I've never tried the shamrock shake. I stick to either chocolate or vanilla milkshakes.

I think I only had it once and that was a very, very, very long time ago, probably decades and I HATED IT!  I don't know if they changed the formula since but I remember it as one of the most disgusting things I have ever tasted and I will never drink it again.  Just the mention of the name brings back bad memories  :-X.

like mint chocolate chip ice cream, without the chocolate.
its a creamy green color and march is the only month
they have them, as a nod to st. patrick's day...

Nope. I never tried a shamrock shake, it sounds like it could be good, but I will never know unless I try one. I will stick with the hot fudge sundae that they have.
