Are you scared to live on your own?

I don't have the luxury of living on my own right now because my oldest daughter and my granddaughter live with me.  BUT I have lived on my own and I loved it.  Maybe one day I will have that again.  To me it is great, you can do what you want when you want where you want without having to report to anyone.  Now I have to do certain things because i have others in my home.  I feel that I have to cook for them and other things that are aggravating at times, like when my daughter wakes me up at 6am to get the baby and other things.  I do enjoy my granddaughter though, she is a mess and makes me laugh every day so I am thankful for her.  She is my pride and joy, not to mention my eight month old grandson.

"Scared" isn't accurate, because living alone isn't the same emotion as things that would cause fear - like if I were getting robbed or something.

Loneliness is a more apt term for what it feels like to live alone. I just got divorced, and I have an awesome dog, but the loneliness is crushing.

Of course, this isn't just living on my own, but living on my own after divorce that is causing this.

I normally don't need to be doing a lot of activities and be around a lot of people. But I do like (need?) that one person around who means so much.

I've lived alone my entire adult life. I wouldn't have it any other way.

if i lived alone i would not buy any pets im not cleaning throw up and everything else they do.

I live alone, but sleep with the lights on...lol. My bathroom mirror/medicine cabinet reminds me of the movie candy man.

live by my self for ever 11years and am not scared,its pacefull at times till friends or family comes over

I have no problem living alone.. I have a roommate now, but would very much prefer not to.

I would love to just live alone with my husband. If I was alone at night, I would get scared of people creeping around outside.

Yes I am !!!! Some people can live on their own I would go crazy I get lonely I guess, my parents are pushing me to move out and go away from school but I want to be a commuter I just dont want to be alone
