I live in California.  It's a little town called Holtville.  We are close to the border of Mexicali.  I've lived here my whole life and it's either you know everyone or related to someone in town.  The weather is very nice right now, but in the summer time it can get up to 120 degrees.  I'm used it all though it can be very unbearable.
