Majority of automated systems will bounce emails back, such as hotmail accounts. From what I have learned it's out of the hands of FC's. A gmail account is the best way to go.

We use an email provider which many people agree has the best deliverability (it's called AWeber).  I have complained to them at length, many times, spoken to supervisors, etc - but these Hotmail problems persist.  I intend to try sending the DCEs to Hotmail addresses directly from FC, which may or may not work better, but this will take some time to implement (weeks).  I'm sorry that you feel that we're not trying to fix the problem, but believe me - we want to make money as badly as you do.

Admin, I commend you on trying to satisfy those with Hotmail, but have to say this. When I was told (via an e-mail from FC) that my regular e-mail was NOT compatible and Gmail worked the best, what did I do? I took 2 minutes out of my life and set up a Gmail account. It was NOT a big deal and it is NOT worth anyone berating FC because they aren't being catered to. :P

Administrator, I'm receiving my PTC daily email's fine, now that I changed my subscription to a Google address. And I let Hotmail/Windows Live know how unhappy I was about this situation by deleting my email address. :D Hope this helps!

Good for you, trucktina! ;) I always had problems with my little used Hotmail account, so I stopped using mine well over a year ago. They even sent me an e-mail asking why I was deleting it and I told them, just like you did. Maybe if enough people start complaining, they'll actually do something about it. My problems were NOT with FC or any other PTC sites, I wasn't even getting half the stuff my friends and colleagues sent to me. I have come across quite a few places that only use Windows e-mail if you want to contact them with a question about a product, so I don't bother anymore and go somewhere else.

I agree. It wasn't hard at all to set up a gmail account and I have gotten the emails every day since I started using it.

Gmail seems to work fine.  But I can understand those members who don't want to switch off of Hotmail/MSN.  After all, it's a pain to change email addresses.

As I understand it, these Hotmail issues arise from changes in their email filtering settings over the past 5-6 months.  I think AWeber is still figuring out how to cope with the tighter restrictions.

I use an account (comcast) that likes to bounce emails and I have to say that I have received each and every one of FC's daily emails, which is sweet.

Hey, Admin. Maybe Google will buy Aweber and fix their problems with their excellent team. I have used Aweber about a month now, and haven't had anything bounce yet, which is off to a good start. Fingers crossed.

hi, i had same prob. i used earthlink and the spamblocker did something. So i cahnged to my cell phone. just have to forward it to my regular outlook. carelton nails it on head.

the way i changed my email address for the fusioncash emails was to open an old daily email and at the bottom there is a link to change subscription settings. you click that link and then on that page you can click the link for change email at the top left of the page. you then can change the email to a different email address.

I completely agree if someone uses Hotmail/MSN as their e-mail for almost everything they do, have used it for a long time, and have it as their main connection to all the people and sites they frequent. In that case, they don't need or have to get rid of it completely. That's not really what I meant, but didn't explain it well. What I am saying is it is VERY simple to set up a Gmail account and use it only for FC. That's what I did, getting rid of my Hotmail was not a big deal because it was never my main e-mail provider, and I now use Gmail for FC and quite a few other things. I wouldn't tell someone who has used Hotmail for a long time, and all their contacts are in there, to get rid of it completely because it is definitely a huge headache to alert/change it all. I hope this made more sense? ;)

I've experienced problems receiving the daily FC emails in the past week - they've arrived 2-3 days after the date sent and are already expired.  Since 4/24/11, I'd received the daily email in my hotmail account so, maybe the problem is resolved.

Unfortunately, the delivery issues with the Daily Cash Email are caused by AWeber, our third party mailing solution.  I've complained many many times but always get brushed off.  Our next big feature is to send the DCEs ourselves, but that's coming later.

Today's DCE will go out soon.

Thanks Admin for the updated and much more detailed response to this issue. My negative opinion as to how this was being handled was due in fact to the poor response I received from support when submitting a ticket. When answered and said in basically a tone of tough beans change your email address I found that an unacceptable response. I knew there was more to the story then just using Hotmail.  I already have more than a half dozen emails for various personal and business reasons all Hotmail accounts I might add with zero problems for over a decade. Therefore, I am not thrilled at the idea of having to create yet another one just for a daily email whether it takes 2 minutes or not Jordandog......but I will do so if necessary.  Prior to the Admins recent posts it did not appear much was being done to explain the daily delivery problem other then it was "our" problem and we had to change our email address..Perhaps support should be taking 2 more minutes of their time to give a better answer similar to what the Admin just did so a greater sense of understanding and trying to fix the problem is apparent. This daily email problem is obviously affecting many users. Just sayin....

I definitely do not recommend using a hotmail address to get the daily email. My daily email for Saturday never came. Then, Sunday morning I got the daily email for Sunday and an hour later I got the one for Saturday, which was obviously expired by then. I wonder why hotmail holds some of your emails before they let them through.  :dontknow: >:(

I really recommend gmail too, I always get my daily emails, even when the site was down for maintenance a few days back, I got the notification email, then a hour or so later I got my daily email!

I use hotmail for FC and from 4/18 through 4/23/11, MSN decided to send FC's daily emails into a timewarp loop wherein they arrived date-stamped two days old and expired.  Since 4/24, this has not reoccured:

"Daily Cash Email for 04/25/2011" - $0.02 credit rec'd
"Daily Cash Email for 04/24/2011" - $0.02 credit rec'd
