I know this is a loaded question, but I just like to know if you believe that Jesus died for our sins and he rose again on Easter Sunday.

I believe in Jesus and yes, that he died for our sins and rose from the dead. We no longer celebrate Easter like we did when I was a child. I use to make elaborate Easter baskets for my children but my youngest has food allergies and she cannot eat candy. We also talked as a family about how commercialized this celebration has become. The focus is no longer on Christ but on companies making money.

I do, and always did, believe that Jesus died for our sins, and rose again on Easter Sunday. I agree with the fact that this holiday is overly commercialized, just like Christmas. And what-up with the idea of the "Easter Bunny"? I mean, when I was a kid, my parents told us that our baskets were from the "Easter Bunny", but as an adult, I just think the concept is kinda creepy. My parents made sure we realized what we were celebrating: a religious and spiritual event. They made sure of this by putting those cross-shaped candies in our baskets, and ensuring that we would recieve some type of holy little thing, like a necklace or bracelet.

I believe that Christ died for our sins and rose on Easter. But it has become very comercialized and all about making money. We used to make a big family meal after church and hunt real boiled eggs not these plastic ones they use today.
