Whats for dinner tonight?
« on: April 30, 2011, 03:39:51 pm »
I'm sick of making the same dinners over and over. I am always buying the same stuff at the grocery store. I could grocery shop with my eyes closed.

So I thought it would be fun to see what you guys are having for dinner tonight? Maybe I could get some new ideas.

I am having a really rough day so my dinner sucks. I didn't leave myself enough time before work so I just quickly made a sandwich and threw chips and dip in my bag, when I got to work I realized the dip expired. . . . so I have a sandwich! If I were home I'd make teriaki salmon with rice. Or chicken helper chicken fried rice!

Well, my wife normally cooks the same old meals a lot also. Today I've been job hunting like crazy so I just got lazy deciding what to eat for dinner so I just bought a pizza from Pizza hut.

We have the same problem at our house I cant think a something different for dinner.  So a couple weeks ago I started following some advice of people that do a lot of couponing.  But I don't do it in the same way.  I look at the ads and see what the items that are on sale that we like to eat.  Then I go on line and look for new recipes for the same items that are on sale.  Then I try to add two or three new items to the menu at home for a couple nights.  It gives us a chance to try something new but at the same time I am not spending a lot of money

Usually whatever I can find in the fridge.  I hate cooking, so its usually something easy to fix.

I always have a difficult time trying to plan something for dinner (or any meal). Generally I just look through the cabinets, refrigerator, & freezer to see what's available then choose something that sounds best to me. When I get take out, I also have trouble trying to decide what to get; same thing when at a restaurant.

I haven't decided yet. I have a bunch of TV dinners in the freezer to choose from right now. Tomorrow though is pizza day, veggie pizza  :)

I have the same problem.  I get so tired of fixing the same thing over and over!    I am thinking for tonight maybe cube steak/gravy,  mac & cheese, green beans and biscuits!
