Yes, the Lord hears our prayers.  He is faithful!

I absolutely think that prayers are powerful - miracles happen all the time and prayer was a huge part of it.  I think that sometimes taking a leap of faith and believing does wonders for people.  :angel11:

I feel prayers are powerful; It  have saved our country out of alot of mayhem and chaos since the beginning of time./

I agree with you Lynn, Prayer does work and miracles happen when we pray. If we look around at familys who go to church & pray together,
there is peace and happiness, together-ness... family with parents who smoke, drink and party and torn apart. That is a prime example
yet so many are blinded by the evil angel of light???  They prefer death styles instead of life styles, satan is the father of lies and death.

lol  Another joke?  Religious "families" are some of the most dysfunctional folks around!

P.S. I neither smoke, drink, nor party and it ain't because of Jesus.

I think that prayers are useless. Prayers will not stop nuclear meltdowns or natural disasters or wars, famine, terrorrists, accidents, crime, ect. as people hope it will, nor does it make things any better. You make yourself feel better. Prayer is just a pacifier for the weak minded flock of sheep.

When a child has an imaginary friend that they talk to, it's considered cute and creative. When an adult has an imaginary friend that they talk to, they're considered to be crazy. But when a group of people do it, it's acceptable-- but they'll get mad if you compare them to children or call them crazy.

I'm a Christian. Someone saying that to me wouldn't make me mad. There's no reason to get angry at someone who's ignorant.

So am I ignorant of your telepathy or are you ignorant of reality? I'm assuming you mean that praying is powerful. It's your job to prove that it works- not mine. If you can't, then who's the ignorant one? I've never seen any proof and yet many here say it works. And, as I asked in the past, they'll say "it's not my job to prove it-- you just have to learn to have a personal relationship with jesus/god and then you'll see the magic!" which is a total cop-out and running away from the argument because they've done nothing but broaden the problem of putting proof on the table. Internally and progressively inconsistent.

It's times like this I think about *bleep* Germany and how many Jews probably prayed for god to save them from the gas chambers or the firing squads. Apparently prayers can't stop bullets or deadly gas. Sad that an omnipotent super-powered god would respond to a prayer for one person to feel better from a bad cold, but he's ignorant enough to not respond to the massacre of millions of decent and innocent people (including children).  :angry7:

Yes. So is wind (ex, tornados) even though you can't see it, you can see the effects.

You can interact with wind, measure it, predict it, and you can see the manifest of it during a tornado. It supplies us with power and can even be used to travel or for entertainment. You can't prove anything like that with a prayer.
