What do you do if you find money on the ground? Look around for owner or grab?

I found a 5.00 bill and then i looked more and found two 1.00 bills its was wried cause i had to go to the liquar store for a friend and guess what it was my brithday too im for reals has this ever happend to anyone befor on there brithday and guess what i did i kept as like thank you god he sent me a gift from heaven

I'm pretty sure the police aren't so pious as to search for the owner of cash, unless it's a briefcase of drug money.  They look for reasons to take people's cash and/or cars.  Not hating on the police, just saying what I've seen.

I would take that money and see if anyone was missing it in the near by area..If not Finders keepers!!!!

any thing $100. and above I would turn it into the authorities, because if someone soes not claim it in 90 days its is your free and clear and you don't have to worry about feeling guilty.

I would keep it i find money all the time like pennies but you know that adds up to a dollar and so far.... but the most i found is 20.00 dollars.

i'll definately look for the owner first and if i dont find them, depending on the amount, i'll either keep it or turn it in to the police.

Depends on the situation.  If someone nearby is looking for it I think you have to give it back.  Otherwise, consider it your lucky day!
