Can you remember your very first job? I remember my very first job when I was 16. I worked in a convention center in my hometown, I got to see a lot of conventions and shows.

I worked at a theater when I was 15. Man, I have a truckload of stories about that place too. I do look back and think it was a fun jerb though. Good times!

My first job was at Sonic Drive In. I worked there for 5 yrs, started my senior year in high school-even in and out of college, I skated-and when I say that
I skated, I mean~I SKATED MY LITTLE *bleep* OFF!! ,so I made some mad tips.  It was a good job, my friends from HS were working with me and most of them were in the marching band with me as well. Working there helped me buy an $1800.00 Selmer Alto Saxophone, and it funded a 3 week trip to Croatia overseas!!! Good times-indeed!

My first job was at Ace Hardware as a sales representative. It really helped me kind of come out of my shell by being forced to help people every day. It was a great summer job!

When I was 16 I was a camp counselor at a non-profit Summer camp.  The kids didn't pay to go to camp as it was targeted at low income families.  I think I was paid 300 dollars total for the 3 months of camp! :o  It was pretty much volunteer work at that rate of pay.  I got free food, swimming, riding horses, miniature golf, and whatever else the kids did and it was admittedly fun hanging out with the other counselors. :)

Mine was working backstage for a theater. It was amazing fun because I felt like part of the cast, not a worker.

I was almost 13 and it was as a sailing instructor. Sailing as in boats in case anyone is confused. I was paid $3.50/hour, which was excellent pay at the time, and got to be out on the water where I would have been anyway, so it was ideal. I did that for quite a few summers, even when I had another job also. That's how I was able to have a nice car and a years worth of insurance paid up before I even had my learners permit or my license! ;)

When I was a kid all the moms in the neighborhood took all the kids out to the fields and picked berries, beans etc.  When I was old enough I went to work in the cannery where they processed that stuff.  My first office job was after school in a plumber's office.  That's been decades ago but I remember he had a special typewriter that had some sort of little plumbing symbols on it.  I wish I could see it again now to refresh my memory about it.

My first job was a lifeguard and swim lesson instructor. I kept that job a LONG time....I actually just recently quit working at a pool in some capacity. I love the water and when I was a teen the summers were awesome! :) Too old now to enjoy all of the teenage stuff and most of the stuff that we did caused rules to be implemented so that future guards couldn't do it too. LOL

My 1st official job was when I was 20yrs old and I was working as a Union Carpenter. Now, Im on my 2nd job as a part-time courtesy clerk. Every job in between was when I was working for my neighbors and family friends. Every dollar counts in my book if you ask me :)

That sounds fun even though it's only 300 :D
