Sensitive topic? I don't know, but it's all about shaving. Some say it's good hygiene, others say it's wrong, and still others say it's a pain in the butt. What do you say about shaving?

Men: What are your thoughts on women who doesn't or does shave? What are your thoughts on other men who doesn't or who does shave? And..do you shave?

Women: How do you see other women who doesn't or does shave? AND...what is your preference: a shaved up men (all over, pubic area included), or a man who just let it grow (manliness or cavemen as they call it). What about you, do you shave?

What are your thoughts? I'm looking forward to reading them all.

I once worked with a woman who did not shave her legs or under arms.  She actually had hair growing on chest area...strange...lol

i dont like the really hair type of guys.  a lil chest hair is fine and down there has to at least be trimmed. i dont like body hair whatsoever so i shave whatever i can. but it sure is a pain in the butt.

I like it when women shave pretty much all over (although its ok to just trim down there, as in this Schick ad: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WAk77Kr_OwQ). I think it tends to accentuate their curves and femininity. I know this one woman that actually complained about guys that liked women that shaved as just being one step away from child molesters; she said that guys actually fantasize about adolescent or younger girls, and that is why they want them shaved all over. I totally disagree; if anything I think the attraction of a woman that shaves is more that it differentiates women from men a little more. If her theory was true, then I think more guys would also have a fixation with smaller *bleep*, but if anything the opposite is true.

For us guys, I think trimming down there is nice, and shaving the back and shoulders if it's too thick and dark. As for the facial hair, I think it really depends on the guy; some look better with some type of facial hair, and others without. As you can tell from my avatar, I used to have a goatee, but unfortunately it seemed like the part below my chin was always scraggly and different shades of color while above my lip it was very light in color to the point that I almost needed to use Just for Men to fill it in so it could be seen. After a while, I just got sick of it and decided to go clean-shaven. After I did that and several women complemented me on the new look, I decided I'd keep it clean shaven from then on.

Well, now this is an interesting discussion. Hmm.

Personally, I don't mind if a lady wants/likes to grow out some body hair - so long as she shaves her underarms. I can pretty much handle hair everywhere else on a lady except for under her arms. That just is kinda pushing it too far for me.

As for men, I just don't want to see a guy looking like he's wearing a "fur suit". You have lots of hair? That's okay, but take care of it. Trim it down or wax it off. Don't go wearing a "fur suit" year round. It's just kind of nasty.

Shaving is definitely a chore and a pain, but necessary.

I don't mind shaving really it actually feels good sometimes to shave when your face is really itching when you have alot of hair growing on it. But it sucks when you have a dull razor now that hurts.  :crybaby2:

I was involved in a body building competition ten years ago and to achieve maximum definition I had to shave all my body hair off.  I used to just shave my legs because I was a triathalete, runner and bicyclist.  Since those days I continue to shave my legs....not for the look of it but because I am a pretty hairy and warm person.  My body stays cooler when I am shaved as well as having a feeling that I somewhat have control over a part of my life.

Wax instead of shaving legs/chest areas or else it grows back all prickly.

I'm a hairy man and would love to shave it off, but I dont want the upkeep.  If I could have laser hair removal for free I would go in a second.  As for the woman, I like them to be smoothed skin including the pubic area.  My reasoning is I don't like hair in my mouth.

I have to shave all over. I feel much more comfortable and clean when I do. I think it is definitely better hygiene to shave. Anyone that has can tell you that. As for guys, I don't want a guy that shaves his whole body. That's just a bit too feminine to me. If they are really hairy, they should trim it down, but I don't mind chest hair or facial hair. I think it's much more important for girls to shave for hygiene purposes. It makes us much more fresh and clean. As for the pubic area, I think it is personal choice, but it is also much cleaner shaved.

Either way doesn't bother me, to each his or her own. I agree that unruly or excessive hair should be trimmed, but I don't find not shaving to be unhygienic. If someone's showering once or twice a day, that's enough.
